Pedro signs for Chelsea Football Club Info About Pedro Personal information Full name Pedro Eliezer Rodrguez Ledesma Date of birth 28 July 1987 (age 28) Place of birth Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain Playing position Forward / Winger Current team Chelsea This Effects Two Teams Not only does this event effect Chelsea, Barcelona takes a huge hit losing a key player. They cant replace Pedro very easily, after all, he was their key forward. Lately, it seems Barcelona has been on the down side of things, they have been losing more games than usual. Could this loss be another massive hit? I guess we will find out. On the good side, Chelsea is up a player, and a good one at that. With his many goals in such a high league, he is a very dangerous player. After doing research, I saw that he had above a 6 for many of the rankings, such as shooting, passing, etc In all, Chelsea made a huge move getting Pedro on their side. Through friendlies, we will see how it pays off. By: Connie Weng & Sofia Insley Labor Day Holiday Not many people know about Labor Day, just that you get a Monday off from school. Labor day is on September 7 and it was established in Labor day is a holiday that celebrates the hard working people in the US and Canada. We celebrate it on the first Monday of September, but in other countries it is celebrated on May 1 st. Peter J. McGuire came up with the idea of labor day and the holiday was created by the labor movement in the late 19 th century.By: Morgan Tolbert How To: Morning routine Now, I know that most of us have a not so good morning routine or maybe even not one at all. The morning is just a battle to catch your bus or to get in the car before your parents leave for work. Sometimes you get lucky and it works out but most of the time not really. I have some great tricks for you to help you get up and ready on time so that your morning isnt a problem at all. One of your first tips would be to wake up early if you are a slow eater a picky dresser or a person who likes to take showers in the morning. If you get up early you wont have to rush and forget something. Some things that could help with this is to pick out what your going to wear before you go to bed. Also to plan your morning. Maybe first you take a shower or wash your face. After eat then brush your teeth and so on and so forth. The hardest thing for me to do in the morning is get out of bed. Well maybe you set eight alarms or you keep a cup of water by your bed and if you snooze you pour it on your head. What I recommend is putting your alarm just out of reach in a plastic cup so you can still hear it and have to get out of the bed to turn it off. I also recommend washing your face with cold water after getting out of the bed. By: Alexyss Cain and Lexy Flatau This column answers school problems that people always have. How come my locker wont open, how come this computer wont turn on. This advice column answers all of those questions and more! So sit back and we will try to answer average middle school questions as best as we can. Question 1 Bullying is a big problem in middle schools. People say hurtful things that they dont mean, and there is a solution, victims are just to scared to speak up. Tell an adult about the problem or tell a friend. You can also tell the guidance counselor, teacher, or if it is that bad tell the principal. Just remember there is always a way to stomp out bullying Question 2 Making new friends is sometimes a challenge for new students. Sometimes new students feel left out and rejected, but you can be the nice one who goes up and asks something as little as his or her name. If you are a new student, just be yourself, dont be nervous, go up to someone and say hi! You never know, what will happen. Question 3 Studying, is sometimes a struggle for middle schoolers. We get caught up in games and iPhone apps, to finish our studying. And since middle school, prepares us for high school, you need to take studying seriously. When your studying for a test block out everything and focus on your notes. Trust me it will prepare you for high school and college. It is played on ice with sticks, pucks, and gear. Hockey gear usually consists of gloves, helmets, jerseys, skates, shin pads, chest pads, cups, and a Ice Hockey stick. Hockey gets its name from Colonel Hockey. Colonel Hockey used the game hockey to keep his troops in shape. Hockey is a popular sport with more and more people participating in it every year. You can watch hockey games at your local ice rink (VBC, which is where Havoc plays), or professional games or on TV. A hat trick is when a player scores 3 goals in a row. 6 players are on the ice at a time per team (A total of 12 if you count both sides). Each goal is worth 1 point. Icing is when a player hits the puck from one side of the ice to the other, without any other player touching it. By Jacob S. Sanger
