● Halloween – otherwise referred to as All Hallows’ Eve - isthe most popular commercial holiday after Christmas in North

America.

● Deep rooted in Pagan beliefs, Halloween’s tradition is attributed to the origin of Samuin – a pre-Christian festival of Celts in Europe.

● Samuin was mainly celebrated to honor the dead and mark the transition between the end of the summer and beginning of winter.

● Halloween was introduced in the US during early 1900s when Irish and Scots migrated to this part of North America.

● Halloween got its present name when Christians began to celebrate the Roman-Celtic festival on November 1st as All Saints’ Day or All Hallows’ Day. As such, the night prior to the All Hallows’ Day came to be known as All Hallows’ Even, which eventually was foreshortened to Halloween in the 20th century.

Halloween Makeup IdeasFrom heavy blood-red lips and smoky eyes to wet-look tresses, Halloween is the right time to experiment some eerily-awesome beauty trends.

●Scary Halloween Doll: To deck up like a scary doll, apply thick layer of white eyeliner on your eyes. Moreover, black eyeliner can be used to design ghostly stitches on your face.●Creepy Cat: With usual eye products, you can easily apply makeup to turn yourself into a creepy cat. All you need to do is to pep up your lips and nose with an eye liner or an eye pencil.●Skeleton: Use a mask or simply paint your entire face white and then apply black paint to create dark circles around your eyes.

●Zombie: To create a scary pastiness, use white make-up all over your face and neck while applying dark eye shadows to highlight your face’s gaunt areas like eyes and chin. After brushing baby powder onto your face, drip some bogus blood into your hair and scalp.
