will be open and refreshments and lunch

Flathead, Transvestites, Road Warriors and all that Jazz!The friendly folk at Halcyon Waters sure

are an active mob and the last week’s at

the award winning lifestyle community

were certainly no exception. Popular

Caretaker and fishing tragic, Mark Young

coordinated a group of 22 home owners

to embark on an offshore fishing charter

only to end up catching sea sickness. This

was followed by an encore performance

that saw the intrepid Halcyon anglers

head offshore again this time landing a

handsome catch of Trag Jew, Snapper,

Flathead and Mackerel to fill the freezers

back home.

The last few weeks also saw many

of Halcyon Waters’ 45 van owners on the

road travelling around Australia like Mike

and Kerry Partridge who were joined by

home owners Maureen O’Keefe on her

first tour in her new pop-top van. The

trios 5000km eight week tour included

memorable stop overs at the Daintree

area North of Port Douglas, Magnetic

Island, The Atherton Tablelands and a stop

off as volunteer officials at the Townsville

V8 Supercar event.

And the action didn’t stop there,

with the weather perfect for being in the

great outdoors, over 380 home owners,

family, friends and future home owners all

filed in to Celebration Park to enjoy the

live sounds of ‘Jazz in the Park.’

Unlucky for some, Friday the 13th

was just another excuse to celebrate

with a rocky Horror Show theme night

planned. With the Leisure Club resembling

Dr. Frank’n’furter’s castle, all manner

of Brads, Janets and a few obligatory

transvestites turned up for the evening of

fun, socialising and dancing, partying on till

late in the night.
