Hadith-1 I am afraid about my community of those leaders who will lead astray.When the sword is used among my people, it will not be withdrawn from them till the Day of Resurrection, and the Last Hour(Qiyamat) will not come before the tribes of my people attach themselves to the Shirk(polytheists) and tribes of my people worship idols. (Abu-Dawud, Book 30 Trials and Fierce Battles, Number 4239) Hadith-2 Thawban narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said:"The Hour shall not be established until tribes of my Ummah unite with the idolaters, and until they worship idols. And indeed there shall be thirty imposters in my Ummah,each of them claiming that he is a Prophet. And I am the last of the Prophets, there is no Prophet after me." I did not come to you until I had sworn more that this many times' - the number of fingers on his hands - 'that I would never come to you or follow your religion. I am a man who does not know anything except that which Allah and His Messenger teach me. I ask you by the face of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, with what has your Lord sent you to us? He said: 'With Islam.' I said: What are the signs of Islam? He said; To say: I submit my face to Allah and give up Shirk, and, to establish the Salah and to pay Zakah. Each Muslim is sacred and inviolable to his fellow Muslim; they support one another. Allah does not accept any deed from an idolater after he becomes a Muslim, until he departs from the idolaters and joins the Muslims."' Hadith-4Bahz bin Hakim narrated from his father that his grandfather said:"I said: 'O Prophet of Allah! Hadith-5Mahmoud ibn Labeed said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The thing that I fear most for you is MINOR SHIRK.” They said: “O Messenger of Allaah, what is MINOR SHIRK?” He said: “Showing off, for Allaah will say on the Day when people are recompensed for their actions: ‘Go to those for whom you were showing off with your deeds in the world, and see what reward you find with them.(Musnad-e-Ahmad Hadith-27742 Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 951)

Hadith-6Sahih Muslim Book 1 : Hadith 146;Sahih Muslim Book 1 : Hadith 147It is narrated on the authority of Jabir that he heard the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) saying. Verily between man and between polytheism(shirk) and unbelief(Kufr) is the negligence of prayer.

Hadith-7Sahih Muslim, Book 41, Number 6945:'A'isha reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The (system) of night and day would not end until the people have taken to the worship of Lat and 'Uzza. I said: Allah's Messenger, I think when Allah has revealed this verse: "He it is Who has sent His Messenger with right guidance, and true religion, so that He may cause it to prevail upon all religions, though the polytheists are averse (to it)", it implies that is going to be fulfilled. Thereupon he (Allah's Apostle) said: It would happen as Allah would like. Then Allah would send the sweet fragrant air by which everyone who has even a mustard grain of faith in Him would die and those only would survive who would have no goodness in them. And they would revert to the religion of their forefathers."

Hadith-8Sahih Bukhari - Volume 4, Book 56, Hadees Number 662:Narrated Abu Said: The Prophet said, "You will follow the wrong ways, of your predecessors so completely and literally that if they should go into the hole of a mastigure, you too will go there." We said, "O Allah's Apostle! Do you mean the Jews and the Christians?" He replied, "Whom else?" (Meaning, of course, the Jews and the Christians.)

Hadith-9Abu Waqid Al-Laithi narrated that when the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) went out to Hunain he passed a tree that the idolaters called Dhat Anwat upon which they hung their weapons. They(the Companions) said:"O Messenger of Allah! Make a Dhat Anwat for us as they have a Dhat Anwat.' The Prophet (s.a.w) said: "Subhan Allah! This is like what Musa's people said: Make for us a god like their gods. By the One in Whose is my soul! You shall follow the way of those who were before you." (Sahih)حدثنا سعید بن عبد الرحمن المخزومي، حدثنا سفیان، عن الزھري، عن سنان بن أبي،سنان عن أبي واقد اللیثي، أن رسول صلى علیھ وسلم لما خرج إلى خیبر مر بشجرة للمشركینیقال لھا ذات أنواط یعلقون علیھا أسلحتھم فقالوا یا رسول اجعل لنا ذات أنواط كما لھم ذات أنواط فقال . النبي صلى علیھ وسلم "

سبحان ھذا كما قال قوم موسى اجعل ) : لنا إلھا كما لھم آلھة والذي ( نفسيبیده لتركبن سنة من كان قبلكم ال ق . Hadith-10Sahih Muslim, Book 41, Hadith 6944:'Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour would not come until the women of the tribe of Daus would be seen going round Dhi al-Khalasa (for worship) and Dhi al-Khalasa is a place in tabala,where there was a temple in which the people of the tribe of Daus used to worship the idol."

Hadith-11Sahih Muslim [Arabic only] Hadith 5167:'Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him)said: The Last Hour would not come until the women of the tribe of Daus would be seen going round Dhul-Khalasah, an idol that the tribe of Daus used to worship during the pre-Islamic era in the ."

Hadith-12Sahih Bukhari, Book 88, Hadith 232:"Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established till the buttocks of the women of the tribe of Daus move while going round Dhi-al-Khalasa." Dhi-al-Khalasa was the idol of the Daus tribe which they used to worship in the Pre Islamic Period of ignorance."

Hadith-13It was narrated from Zaynab the wife of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood from ‘Abd-Allaah that he said: “I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say,‘Spells (Non-Quranic Ruqyah), Amulets(Taweez)and love-charms are shirk.(Narrated by Abu Dawood, 3883; Ibn Maajah, 3530)This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilat al-Saheehah, 331 and 2972.

Hadith-14It was narrated from ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Aamir al-Juhani that a group came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) [to swear their allegiance (bay’ah) to him]. He accepted the bay’ah of nine of them but not of one of them. They said, “O Messenger of Allaah, you accepted the bay’ah of nine but not of this one.” He said, “He is wearing an amulet.” The man put his hand (in his shirt) and took it off, then he (the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) accepted his bay’ah. He said, ‘Whoever wears an amulet has committed shirk.” (Narrated by Musnad-Ahmad, 16969)This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 492.

Abdullah bin Masood reports that I have heard the Holy Prophet(saw) saying that blowing (Non-Quranic), Tamiza(Taweez,Talismans), threads and potions are all shirk.(MishkaatSharif, pg 389)

Hadith-16Uqbah ibn Amir reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him say, “Whoever hangs an amulet around his neck, then Allah will not fulfill his wishes; and whoever hangs a seashell as a charm, then Allah will not leave him without penalty. ”عقبة بن عامر یقول سمعت رسول صلى علیھ وسلم یقول من تعلق تمیمة فال أتم لھ ومن تعلق ودعة فال ودع لھ مسند 16951 أحمد مسند الشامیین من تعلق تمیمة ال ف أتم لھالمحدث ابن باز خالصة حكم المحدث ”.صحیح[Musnad Ahmad, Number 16951, Sahih,This hadeeth was classed as hasan by al-Arna’oot in his commentary on al-Musnad. Seashells were worn to ward off the evil eye.]

Hadith-17Uqba bin Amir Al Jehni relates that a group of people came to the Holy Prophet to make a religious pledge (Bait). The Holy Prophet accepted the pledge from nine of the groups and left one out. The companions asked the Holy Prophet as to why he did not accept the pledge of the one who was left out.The reply was: "I did not make Bait with him because he was wearing a Talisman." On hearing this that person drew the Talisman, out and destroyed it. Thereafter,the Holy Prophet accepted his pledge (bait) and said whoever wears a talisman,he associates partners with Allah (i.e. he practices Shirk).[Musnad Ahmed, Vol. 4 Pg. 156]

Hadith-18Imran ibn Hussein reported: The Prophet, peace be upon him, saw a man wearing a brass ring, so he asked, “What is this?” He said, “It is protection from my arthritis.” So the Prophet said, “Remove it, for indeed it will only increase your arthritis, and if you were to die wearing it you would never be successful.”عمران بن حصین أن النبي صلى علیھ وسلم أبصر على عضد رجل حلقة أراه قال من صفر فقال ویحك ما ھذه قال من الواھنة قال أما إنھا ال تزیدك اإل وھنا انبذھاعنك فإنك لو مت وھي علیك ما أفلحت أبدامسند 19498 أحمد أول مسند البصریینأما إنھا ال تزیدك إال وھنا انبذھا عنكفإنك لو مت وھي علیك ما أفلحت أبداالمحدث الھیتمي المكي خالصة حكم المحدث صحیح[Musnad Ahmad, Number 19498, Sahih]

Hadith-19Narrated ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood(may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet(Peace be upon him) said : “Among the most evil of mankind will be those on whom the Hour comes when they are still alive, and those who take graves as places of worship’’.(Musnad Ahmad Hadith 3998)حدثنا عبد الرحمن ، حدثنا زائدة ، عن عاصم ، عن شقیق ، عن عبد ، قال : سمعت رسول صلى علیھ وسلم ل یقو إن " : من شرار الناس من تدركھ الساعة وھم أحیاء ، ومن یتخذ القبور مساجد "خالصة حكم إسناده :المحدث صحیح

Hadith-20Prophet (Sallal lahu aliwasalam) said: O Allah let not my grave be turned into a worshipped idol.The anger on those who took the graves of their Prophets as places of prostration was terrible."(see reference:-Muwatta Imam-Malik Book 045, Hadith Number 017.)

Hadith-21Narrated Sa'd bin 'Ubaidah:That Ibn 'Umar heard a man saying: "No by the Ka'bah" so Ibn 'Umar said: "Nothing is sworn by other than Allah, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) say: 'Whoever swears by other than Allah, he has committed disbelief or shirk.'"حدثنا قتیبة، حدثنا أبو خالد األحمر، عن الحسن بن عبید ، عن سعد بن عبیدة،أن ابن عمر، سمع رجال، یقول ال والكعبة فقال . ابن عمر ال حلف ی بغیر فإني سمعت رسول صلى علیھ وسلم یقول من " حلف بغیر فقد كفر أو أشرك " . قال أبو عیسى ھذا حدیث حسن وفسر . ھذا الحدیث عند بعض أھل العلم أن ولھ ق " فقد كفر أو أشرك على " التغلیظ والحجة . في ذلك حدیث ابن عمر أن النبي صلى

علیھ وسلم سمع عمر یقول وأبي وأبي فقال . أال " إن ینھاكم أن تحلفوابآبائكم " . وحدیث أبي ھریرة عن النبي صلى علیھ وسلم أنھ قال من " قال في حلفھ والالت والعزى فلیقل ال إلھ إال قال . " أبو عیسى ھذا مثل ما روي عن النبي صلى علیھ وسلم أنھ ل قا إن " الریاء شرك وقد . " فسر بعض أھل العلم ھذه اآلیة ومن ) : كان یرجو لقاء ربھ فلیعمل عمال صالحا اآلیة ( قال ال یرائي .Grade: Sahih(Reference : Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1535;Tirmidhi English translation: Vol. 3, Book 18, Hadith 1535)

Hadith-22Sa’d ibn Ubaida reported: Ibn Umar heard a mean swearing, “No, by the Ka’bah!” So he said to him: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say, “Whoever swears by other than Allah has committed an act of idolatry.”عن سعد بن عبیدة قال سمع ابن عمر رجال یحلف ال والكعبة فقال لھ ابن عمر إنيسمعت رسول صلى علیھ وسلم یقول من حلف بغیر فقد رك أش سنن 3251 أبي داود كتاب األیمان والنذور باب في كراھیة الحلف باآلباءالمحدث أحمد شاكر خالصة حكم المحدث إسناده صحیح[Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 21, Number 3251, Sahih]

Hadith-23It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:"A man from among the Ansar accepted Islam, then he apostatized and went back to Shirk. Then he regretted that, and sent word to his people (saying): 'Ask the Messenger of Allah [SAW], is there any repentance for me?' His people came to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and said: 'So and so regrets (what he did), and he has told us to ask you if there is any repentance for him?' Then the Verses: 'How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their Belief up to His saying: Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful' was revealed. So he sent word to him, and he accepted Islam." توبة فجاء قومھ إلى رسول صلى علیھ وسلم فقالوا إن فالنا قد ندم نھ وإ أمرنا أن نسألك ھل لھ من توبة فنزلت كیف } یھدي قوما كفروا بعد إیمانھم } إلى قولھ غفور } رحیم فأرسل . " { إلیھ فأسلم .(Sunan Nasai English reference: Vol. 5, Book 1, Hadith 4073;Sunan Nasai Arabic reference: Book 38, Hadith 4085)

Comment:-The Companion of Prophet(peace be upon) committed Shirk,later he reverted to Islam. Now when a Sahabi can commit Shirk,then It's even possible with the common folk of our time.

Hadith-24It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:"When the Messenger of Allah [SAW] died, the 'Arabs apostatized, so 'Umar said: 'O Abu Bakr, how can you fight the 'Arabs?' Abu Bakr said: 'The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they bear witness to La ilaha illallah (there is none worthy of worship except Allah) and that I am the Messenger of Allah, and they establish Salah and pay Zakah." By Allah, if they withhold from me a young goat that they used to give to the Messenger of Allah [SAW], I will fight them for it.' 'Umar said: 'By Allah, as soon as I realized how certain Abu Bakr was, I knew that it was the truth.'" (Sahih)أخبرنا محمد بن بشار، قال حدثنا عمرو بن عاصم، قال ثناحد عمران أبو العوام،قال حدثنا معمر، عن الزھري، عن أنس بن مالك، قال لما توفي رسول صلى علیھ وسلم ارتدت العرب فقال عمر یا أبا بكر كیف تقاتل العرب فقال بوأ بكر إنما قال رسول صلى علیھ وسلم أمرت " أن أقاتل الناس حتى یشھدوا أن ال إلھ إال وأني رسول ویقیموا الصالة ویؤتوا الزكاة و . " لو منعوني عناقامام كانوا یعطون رسول صلى علیھ وسلم لقاتلتھمعلیھ قال . عمر فلمارأیت رأى أبي بكر قد شرح علمت أنھ الحق .(Sunan Nasai English reference: Vol. 5, Book 1, Hadith 3974; Sunan Nasai Arabic reference: Book 38, Hadith 3986)

Hadith-25Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, entered upon us while we were discussing the False Messiah. He said, “Shall I not tell you about what I fear for you more than the presence of the False Messiah?” We said, “Of course!” He said, “Hidden idolatry; that a man stands for prayer and beautifies his prayer because he sees another man looking at him.”عن أبي سعید قال خرج علینا رسول صلى ھ علی وسلم ونحن نتذاكر المسیح الدجال فقال أال أخبركم بما ھو أخوف علیكم عندي من المسیح الدجال قال قلنابلى فقال الشرك الخفي أن یقوم الرجل یصلي فیزین صالتھ مال یرى من نظر رجل سنن ابن ماجھ كتاب الزھد الشرك الخفي أن یقوم الرجل یصلي فیزین صالتھ[Sunan Ibn Majah, Book of Asceticism, Number 4204, Hasan]
