She taught fora year in Patt er son, then returned to Dover andtook a posit ion at the Academy Str eet School . In 1936, she began her car eerasa Fr enc h tea cher at Dover High School and went on to rec ei vea Masters Degr ee at Se ton Hall . Ma ry taught French at Dover Hi gh un ti l 19 63,when she be came a guid anc e co un- selor for12 more years, fina lly ret iri ng in 1975 .
