Desert habitats are very dry. They are full of animals and plants who need very little water.

Piedmont/Mountains

Piedmont—gently rolling land between ocean and mountains

Mountains—areas of very high land

Georgia—Blue Ridge Mountains

Appalachian Mountains

Wetlands (aka swamps and marshes)

Wetlands—low land covered by water most of the year

Swamp—wetland where mostly trees and other woody plants grow—usually fresh water
