HanumanAN IDEAL KARYAKARTA

Well Spoken

He was sent by Sugreev to find out the intention of the “two strangers” in the jungle.

Hanuman approached and spoke to them with respect.

Karyakartas should be like Hanuman in talking to strangers (potential swayamsevaks).

Always eager to do Ram’s Work

“Raam Kaaj Kari Beko Aatur..” Sangh work is Ishwari Karya. Swayamsevaks / Karyakartas

should be like Hanuman. Eager to accomplish the work of Sangh

Ready to assume any form

Became small to enter the mouth of the demon in the ocean to outwit her.

Became big to kill asuras of Lanka.

A karyakarta should also be dynamic that way.

A Swayam-sevak

Hanuman wasn’t told to do service to Rama.

He analysed the mission of Rama, and decided on his own to give service to Rama.

Similarly, a karyakarta should analyse Sangh work and its mission, if he wants to truly do Sangh karya.

Turns every situation into opportunity

In Lanka he was captured and humiliated in the court room.

His tail was set on fire and he was laughed upon.

He used that also as an opportunity to progress the project/mission of Rama.

A karyakarta will have to face trials and uncanny situations. Like Hanuman, he must turn every situation into an avenue to progress Sangh karya.

Hidden Potential

Hanuman had great energy which he had forgotten about.

Upon being reminded, on what he is capable of achieving, he did not hesitate to put that energy to proper use.

A karyakarta mustn’t continue living in the darkness. He must identify his abilities and put them to good use.

Messenger of God

He relayed Rama’s message to Sita in a concise and precise manner.

He relayed the message efficiently and in good time

A karyakarta should also pass on the message of Sangh in a clear and confident manner. He himself must first know what is the message of Sangh.

After understanding Rama, Hanuman became ‘crazy’

Having understood Rama and his mission, Hanuman always kept Rama close to his heart.

Even in his free time he is just thinking about Rama and how to serve him better.

A karyakarta, having understood Sangh, becomes almost one with Sangh itself.

Sangh is always in his mind to certain extents, when at work, driving, with family, with friends etc.

No work is too small … and No work is too big either

When Laxman was wounded, Hanuman travelled very far to look for the herbs that would heal him.

Any duty a karyakarta is given must be considered as an integral part of uplifting Sangh work and should, hence, be done with equal dedication and devotion
