Welcome to our first H3 Tech Conference! The H3 team is honored and exited to welcome you to our first H3 Tech Conference. As you know our economy is facing many challenges, but with challenges, opportunities arises. We will be addressing these opportunities during the following two days. You will also have the chance to meet like-minded people who want to be inspired, learn, and connect with other peers and make a difference. The H3 Tech Conference conference has two purposes: we want to encourage people to develop an innovation-based startup mindset, and to create successful collisions between engineers, designers and people with business skills in order to create new enterprises. Because of this, collaboration and networking will be at center stage during the conference. We at H3, are committed to unite people with different backgrounds, but with a common purpose of creating great things. For this, we’ve put together a lineup of speakers that will inspire you with their stories and their knowledge. You will have the opportunity to learn from successful entrepreneurs that run million dollar companies, investors and great academics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Stanford University. Check out our agenda! As any startup, we are building this conference based on feedback from people like you. We will love to hear you comments, complaints and suggestions for future events. For us, your enjoyment is a priority and our staff will be there to help you with anything you need. So please stop and tell us you feedback good or bad. We’d love to hear it! Thank you again for joining H3 and we hope you leave the conference inspired and ready to create, build and sell your startup. Wish you the best, Carlos R. Disciplined Entrepreneurship and The 24 Steps Nov 21 | 1:50pm - 2:35pmby: Bill Aulet
Bill compares entrepreneurs with pirates. They are risk takers; passion driven; they distinguish themselves by the gut and enthusiasm they possess. Nevertheless, these attributes can also be detrimental for their entrepreneurial project if not managed properly. In his now words “Entrepreneurs must have the spirit of a pirate and the execution of a Navy Seal”. However, what about the baby? How much is your startup dependent, or symbiotic, of you? When do you give it dating advice? Is startup puberty as bad as it sounds? Are good ‘startup grades’ more important than finding it’s true purpose? Is your business smarter than you think, or even trying to teach you something? Overprotective leaders shun their startups, but great entrepreneurs take their businesses and their stakeholders all the way to the altar!
