Nayak and his team gauged the situation and realized that Sumedha was processing a lot of IPO transactions, very low revenue generator. Sumedha had employed dedicated people in each of its nine branches across the country for IPO form processing. This was another money guzzler. So, Nayak came up with the idea of centralizing the IPO processes, so that the processing work is done from one office by a single person. He set up a simple online e-form on a portal called www.edeskonline.com, through which a single person could handle the IPO form distribution all over India. Sumedha also had a similar problem with their database. Since the data was distributed branch-wise, access to the data from one branch to the other was difficult. So, Nayaks team implemented an address book through edeskonline wherein all the data was stored on the server clouds. Now every Sumedha employee across all branches could access the databases with just an email ID and password. This saved on time, and made the process convenient.
