BathTimeThese washcloths are my absolute favorite wash-cloths for delicate baby skin and for toddlers. They are made from organic bamboo, making them so soft. Not only is bamboo eco-friendly but also natu-rally anti-bacterial. Plus, they’re hypoallergenic. They even get softer with each wash, as opposed to regu-lar washcloths. I love using these on my girls during bath time.

Pleni NaturalsThis skincare line for babies and kids is made from fruits and vegetables-so cool! The premise is that fruits and vegetables are nutrient packed with antioxidants, fatty acids and vitamins. Whatever we put on our body our skin absorbs-so we are absorbing all the nutrients. They are squeaky clean in their ingredient list and smell so good, yet aren’t overly scented. Made with organic ingredients, all the products are gluten free and vegan too. Their products are also all Made Safe Certified. They have three products. A hair and body wash, a baby balm and a baby oil. I love that the hair and body wash doesn’t dry out my daughter’s skin at all. I also use the baby balm for when my daughters have had red cheeks or irritations-it’s so soothing. The baby oil is perfect for giv-ing my baby a little massage-so hydrating and calming. It doesn’t feel greasy at all. I have loved using it for cra-dle cap too! It really works!

This is a great body wash for babies and kids too. Plus, it doubles as bath bubbles. Just add some to flow-ing bath water and instant bubble action. You can also use it for a hand soap too. That’s why they call it 4-in-1 foamer! It’s more budget friendly but still performs. It comes out as a foam. You can get fragrance free or Vanilla Citrus. They aren’t drying either and the ingredients are great too. I also use this on my daughter’s hair.

This is another great body wash for babies and kids. With double the amount of olive oil than Dr. Bronner’s original formulas, it is great for sensitive skin. Plus, it’s unscented, so you don’t have to worry about scents bothering their delicate baby skin either. It is not tear free-so still be careful when using on your babes. This soap is biodegradable, organic and fair trade. Also, packed in a 100% post-consumer recycled bottle. This is also a budget friendly pick because it’s so concentrated, a little goes a long way. They come in a ton of differ-ent sizes as well-so perfect for travel. Another stellar pick!

This is another great bath line. I particularly use their Unscented for my girls. It’s so great for sensitive baby skin. Moisturizing and not drying at all. You can use it as a body wash and shampoo. I also love their un-scented lotion bar too. Great for hydrating baby skin. Also good for travel, since you don’t have to worry about leaks at all.

I had someone send this to me to try on my second daughter and I love it! Norwex is known for it’s microfi-ber cloths. What’s so special about these cloths is you don’t need to use any soap with them. Their unique microfiber cleans your babies skin all on it’s own. The tightly woven fabric lifts the dirt away and keeps it in the fabric. They are super soft and sized a little smaller for baby and kids. They come in a 3 pack. This is a great product for babies with sensitive skin. Also, a budget friendly option since you don’t need soap. Highly rec-ommend!

Both of these products are all stars. They really perform! The Breathe Balm is great for when your little one is under the weather with a cough/cold. It really helps to soothe and help with symptoms associated with colds. It’s made with essential oils of eucalyptus, tea tree, lavender and cedar. I always have one in my First Aid Kit for whenever a cold strikes!

The Everything Balm is just that at our house-used for everything! From chapped baby cheeks, rashes, dry skin, dry scalp, and a great barrier before going out in the cold. I even put some on my daughter’s diaper rash when I didn’t have anything else. It’s great for so much. I always have this in my purse/diaper bag. It smells so good too! This cream is amazing!! It was one of the first creams I used on my first daughter. It’s great for skin, but es-pecially for babies suffering from colic, eczema, cradle cap, and teething. A very calming cream. It smells so good-like orange goodness! I love applying this right after bath time or throughout the day when one of my girls is a little fussy. It also comes in glass-swoon! The ingredients are so good too-organic and pure.

I also love their body lotion for baby and kids. It also comes in a glass bottle, which I love. It also comes in a pump form, making it super convenient for application. This lotion is also calming and soothing with scents of calendula and chamomile. And yes, you guessed it the ingredients are organic and great.

Sometimes I need to use this diaper cream, because of the zinc oxide in it. Zinc is very soothing to the skin. It also helps protect it from further diaper rashes. Sometimes the skin needs a barrier from the moisture and zinc oxide does just that. A must have product too! Plus, this version is super clean and almost completely organic.

This balm has been so clutch. I first was introduced to it by my naturopath. It was created by a dad who was desperate to create a product for his daughter with eczema. They have several different kinds depending on what you want it for. My daughters haven’t had any eczema but I’ve loved it for extreme diaper rashes. The one I get is called Diaper Skin Soother and is unscented. The ingredients are super clean and effective. It clears up a diaper rash in no time. I’ve also used it for their skin if they do get red cheeks or a random rash. A must have product in my opinion.

This is an amazing little tub for babies! I love that it’s made from soft foam and is mildew and water resistant. I had a previous tub before this and it had mildew on it. This is so easy to just hang up after using and virtually doesn’t take up any space. You just put it in your sink and it has slits that let the water run out. It folds too! A great buy all around!

MEALTIMEI love this food tray for mealtime. A ton of trays out their for kids are plastic. The problem with plastic is every time you wash it, more plastic gets leached out. Plus, the food is touching the plastic at meal time and soaking up the toxins-especially warm food. In comes the ECOlunchbox Stainless Steel Food Tray. It’s plastic free, lead-free, BPA-free, phthalate-free and waste-free. So you can let your kid eat with peace of mind! This is virtually un-break-able too. I love how their is sections too-perfect for different foods. I like how their is a lip on the tray because it helps toddlers who are just learning to eat with their hands to use the lip as something to push their utensils against. A must for any kiddo!

What’s great about the Life Factory products is how they transition with your child. They first can be a bottle, but then as they get older you can make it into a sippy cup just by adding a different top. I love that they’re glass! I know it may sound crazy to give a toddler a glass sippy cup or bottle but Life Factory has a silicone sleeve around each bottle. This protects it from being dropped and it does! My daughter has dropped her bottle so many times and it hasn’t broken. A great purchase that will last for many years!

A company finally heard my cry for stainless steel silverware for kids! They make a knife, fork and spoon for toddlers. The 3-piece set with the knife, fork and spoon is for 3 years and up. The Early Toddler set contains a spoon, and fork and is made for 12-24 months. I have the Early Toddler set with the spoon and fork and my daughter loves it. It’s fits perfectly in her hands and I love that it’s not plastic! The stainless steel it’s made from is tested and is lead free and cadmium free. It’s also dishwasher safe. The fork and knife have rounded edg-es, making it a safe option for little hands. Most toddler silverware is made from plastic-which off gases every time you wash it. Not to mention when it comes in contact with your child’s warm food especially. These are hands down a must have in my opinion!

I used these baby spoons when my daughter was first learning to eat solids. They are made from food grade silicone and have no plastic in them at all. They are softer on baby gums and teeth and a safer option for when they are first learning to eat and you are feeding them. These are also dishwasher safe.

I loved these straws for my daughter when she was first learning to drink from a straw. I didn’t want her drink-ing out of plastic but most straws are made from plastic unfortunately. Then the toxic free options are stainless steel or glass-both kind of dangerous for a 9-12 month old. In comes these silicone straws. I love that they’re made from silicone, which makes them a safer option and also plastic free. They also are two pieces-you just insert the top into the bottom. Making it so easy to clean them after smoothies. Plus, they are a bit wider than your average straw, making it easy for them to suck up a smoothie.

Oh, I can’t say enough good things about this little pouch! I looked and looked for some kind of pouch that wasn’t made from plastic to put homemade baby food, smoothies etc. in for my daughter. All the ones I kept finding were made from plastic even if they were BPA free. My problem with that was the constant wash-ing I would have to do to them and how that would break down the plastic and who knows what could be off gassing from it. I wanted the same effect as a store bought pack but be able to put my own homemade baby food in it. In comes the Squeasy Snacker. It’s made from food grade silicone. The top part is made from plastic but the contents hardly comes in contact with it. The only time it does is when you suck the smoothie through hole. It doesn’t bother me because it is BPA free, phthalate free and PVC free. Plus, I never put warm things in it-just cooler things or room temperature food. I loved it for applesauce, smoothies, homemade baby food- so many things! It’s so awesome because it doesn’t spill all over and I can take it with us anywhere and let her eat it in the car and not have to worry about cleaning up a mess. I can’t recommend this enough! We have the smaller 3.5oz and the larger 6 oz one.

This water bottle is the best out there-no joke! It’s made from stainless steel and silicone. The body is stainless steel and the spout is made from silicone. There is absolutely no plastic in it! What’s even better is how this bottle transitions with your baby as they grow. In the beginning it can be a bottle with the bottle attachment. Then as they graduate to a sippy cup, you can switch the spout to a sippy spout. They also have a insulat-ed straw spout too. Pretty awesome! It can even turn into a regular water bottle once they’re older. I love the versatility of it and how it contains no plastic. An all around amazing product! Plus, you save money because you’re not having to buy a ton of bottles for each season. My daughter loves her Pura!

This thermos is awesome! It can keep contents cold for up to 7 hours or warm for up to 5 hours. The vacu-um insulation technology helps to keep the temperature consistent longer, helping to inhibit bacteria growth. I use this all the time for snacks of all kinds. Whether we’re going to the park, having a playdate, this thermos comes with us. I find it especially great for in the summer when high temps can spoil food quickly. And of course it’s made with stainless steel and not plastic!

It offers smaller serving sizes-perfect for little kids. Your able to give them a variety of foods and it doesn’t get messy when you open it. It’s dishwash-er safe too. I like making this the night before and then I know what my daughter has eaten throughout the day and all her food is prepared beforehand. Also, it’s great prep for pre-school and regular school. I also love mason jars of all sizes for storing homemade baby food, and toddler snacks. They’re made of glass which is amazing and they’re really cheap to get. You can find them easily and you can use them them for so many things. I used these a lot for snacks on the go, food storage, and breast milk storage, etc. I especially liked the 4 oz. jars and the 6 oz. jars-perfect sizes for smaller snacks.

I love this silicone tray for not only breast milk storage but also baby food. The problem with most breast milk storage is that it’s plastic bags. I just don’t like the idea of my milk being stored in plastic bags for long periods of time-even if it is BPA free. I love pumping my milk into the bottles and then just pouring it into these silicone trays to freeze. The lid is perfect because it keeps them from being spoiled by freezer burn. Once frozen I would pop out the cubes and put them in a mason jar to store. No plastic involved! I also love using these for homemade baby food. Just pour the puree in and freeze and pop out to put in mason jars-easy! The lid is the amazing part-because it keeps the milk and food from freezer burn.

This bottle is a great budget friendly glass bottle option. I love these because they fit on my Mede-la breast pump-so I don’t have to use the plas-tic bottles that come with it. The nipple is silicone as well. They come in 4oz. and 8oz. sizes. These don’t come with a sleeve, so they’re a little easier to break-although I haven’t broken one yet. They also don’t have different nipples for different flows. Some babies can be picky. My second daughter is pretty picky about her flow.

This is another glass baby bottle option. It comes in 4oz. and 8 oz. sizes. It also has varying nipples depending on the flow you want for your baby- 9 different flow options to be exact. From newborn to fast flow. This has been great especially for my second daughter who is pickier about how fast her milk comes out. You can also get a sleeve for this bottle, helps hold it better. They have a fabric sleeve and a silicone sleeve. A great bottle all around!

So as mentioned earlier, my second daughter is a little pickier when it comes to her baby bottles. My friend Molly from the blog MaisonPur had recommended this baby bottle since her daughter was picky as well. It’s a great option for babies who prefer breast, as it closely resembles it. It is made from silicone and is squishy so a little different than a glass bottle. But it is nice because it’s not breakable. The nipple is really wide as well, which makes it easy for baby to latch on. This was especially clutch in the beginning for my second daughter. They come in varying nipple flows as well. They also come in 5oz. or 8oz. sizes.

I knew I wanted organic crib sheets with my first daughter. Sheets can be saturated with chemicals from processing. Organic en-sures your baby/child isn’t sleeping in them. I also knew I want-ed to get an organic crib bumper. Pottery Barn has both organ-ic sheets and crib bumpers! They have a variety of organic sheet options for cribs and for toddler beds. They have held up so good too and I’m now using them for my second daughter.

Organic crib mattresses can be a lot more expensive than conventional crib mattresses. If an organic crib mattress doesn’t fit into the budget than a crib mattress cover is the next best thing. This BabeSafe Mattress Cover specifically. These covers are manufactured in New Zealand. The cover is made from high grade 125 micron internally plasticized polyethylene. This is a plastic but its inert and does not off gas. It is free from phthalates, and BPA. With the cover your baby is always sleeping on a clean mattress. This cover is sealed after you put it over your mattress, so you don’t have to worry about your baby breathing in chemicals.

It took me a while to purchase a crib mattress when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I knew I wanted it to be organic, however, I wasn’t about to drop hundreds of dollars on just any organic mattress, it had to meet some serious standards. Be careful when buying an organic mattress. Often people buy into anything that says organic. Even if a mattress says organic, it could just mean it has some organic materials. I didn’t want that to be the case with the mattress I got. After researching I learned quite a few things about textile stan-dards and certifications. In order to make sure your crib mattress is actually organic you want it to be certified through either GOTS- The Global Organic Textile Standard or GOLS- Global Organic Latex Standards. GOTS ensures that 95% of the mattress is organic and they don’t allow flame retardants and polyurethane. GOLS also ensures that 95% of the mattress is organic and free of chemicals and also that the latex is organic. Also, there are companies that test the mattresses to ensure they aren’t emitting chemicals. GREEN GUARD is one company that does testing. They also test Naturepedic mattresses. All Naturpedic mattresses are either cer-tified by GOTS or GOLS. I have the Organic Cotton Classic Crib Mattress. I really like it because it is water-proof and is firm. It worked great for my first daughter and now for my second.

Finding a crib was another item that took some time researching. To be honest I don’t have a perfect crib. Is it better than most? For sure, but it definitely still contains some acrylic lacquer and some fiberboard in the bed rail. However, for the price tag of $99, and made from solid beech wood it’s pretty much a steal. I knew I wanted to spend more money on the actual crib mattress and that I was ok compromising on the actual crib a little more. For me my baby would be touching the crib mattress all the time but not necessarily the crib. Also, I just didn’t have the budget to buy a $500 + crib. Babies are expensive and you could spend a fortune before you even get any medical bills for the actual birth. We had to establish a budget for the baby in the beginning otherwise it would be too easy to go crazy getting everything completely perfect. I had read before purchas-ing to get it months in advance to off gas any chemicals that may be present. Also, most babies don’t sleep in their cribs right away anyways. Anyways, my crib got a good 5 months of off gassing before my first daughter even slept in it. Plus, I love how the Gulliver design is open all around-made me feel at ease that there were openings. I think buying a crib mattress and crib are personal decisions parents need to make on their own. Sometimes you can’t get everything just how you want and you have to decide what’s most important to you. Ikea also has a crib that is made from solid beech wood and isn’t finished with any paint. It’s called Sniglar and it’s even cheaper at $79.99.

DIAPERSGreen Baby

This is the cleanest diaper I’ve found on the market. It doesn’t contain any perfumes, optical brighteners, dyes, and chlorine. It’s made from 100% certified sustainable resources and the absorbent core is phalate free. Also the the closures are latex free. I get mine from Thrive Market. But you can also get them at health food stores and Amazon. If your child suffers from a lot of allergies these would be a great option especially! I love how soft they are. Most natural diapers usually feel pretty rough but not these. I also have never had issues with blowouts with these either. You can even compost parts of the diaper.

Bambo Nature

I don’t do cloth diapering-only disposables. All you mama’s who do cloth, you’re amazing. My hubs wasn’t on board and I didn’t want to push it. Sometimes you have to have some give and take and give yourself grace. You can’t do everything perfect and green as a mom-choose your battles. That being said let me tell you the best brands I’ve found for non-toxic disposable diapers.

These are a better option too but not as good as Bambo Na-ture. They are chlorine, latex, fragrance, and lotion free. They are also free of any chemical bleaches. The diaper itself is really cute. They come in a ton of fun patterns. But they aren’t the softest and feel rougher to the touch. Overall, if you’re going disposal they’re a decent option and avoid a lot of the normal

These are easy to find and can be bought at most health stores, Whole Foods, and Targets. They aren’t as pretty as Honest diapers, just a brown earthy color. They are also rougher and not as soft. It’s chlorine, fra-grance, and ink free(they do use pigments). They can be found at Whole Foods, Target and other health stores. I found the absorbency to not be as good as other natural diapers.

WipesGreen Baby

Ok, so this is a harder one. In my opinion there isn’t a completely pure wipe out there. There’s better options but nothing that’s perfect. Also, just as a disclaimer I didn’t even look at a wipe that was more than $5-just because I’m not willing to spend that much, so I figured neither would other people. I’ll give you my rundown.

So I really do like Honest Wipes. I like how they come out one by one and the the texture and weight of them is good. The ingredi-ents are pretty good for the most part. The only ingredient I didn’t like seeing was silver dihydrogen citrate in there. This ingredient often contains nano-particles. But Honest claims their’s doesn’t. Marley’s Monsters Re-Usable Wipes

I was a hardcore devotee to Water Wipes but then I got a couple packages and they had mold growing in them...yeah mold! There’s only two ingredients in them-water and grapefruit seed extract. Most people would look at them and think they’re fine but as I’ve learned more about grapefruit seed extract I’ve realized they don’t actually contain a preservative. GSE is used in Water Wipes to preserve them. GSE is most often made synthetically and contains chemicals I wouldn’t put on my daughter. The natural form of GSE actually doesn’t preserve anything and that is what Water Wipes claims it uses. Which is great, however, that means that they don’t preserve anything then, and makes sense why the wipes would get moldy. I like the weight of these but I don’t like how a ton come out at once. Overall, I haven’t been buying these after I got a couple packages that contained mold. But for some people that might not be an issue. You can get them at Target and some natural stores.

I recently discovered these wipes from my blogger friend Janny from jannyorganically.com. She had been on the hunt for some clean wipes as well. I had found these before but they were almost $7 a pack-not a price I was willing to spend. But Janny informed me on Amazon, if you have Prime and if you buy in bulk, they are $3.33 a pack-pretty awesome! These un-scented wipes are made in the U.K. and are not only super clean but also made from renewable plant resources. They are good for baby’s with eczema too.

I made this DIY wipe recipe a lot for my first daughter. Obviously only having one made it easier to make, plus in the beginning she got bad diaper rashes and this seemed to be the only wipe she could tolerate for a while. You make this natural solution and then get paper towels. They last you a week and they’re disposable so it’s not like you have to wash anything which is nice. However, you could totally use your cloth wipes with this solution too. I would get seventh generation paper towels-unbleached, no fragrance, no dyes, 100% recycled. They’re really easy to make too once you have all the ingredients.

This book was written by one of the most well known mid-wives. It goes over everything on having a natural child birth. From not having any interventions, to how to talk to your doctors, how to reduce labor pains and so much more. Plus, she shares a ton of inspiring birth stories. I highly recommend if you’re wanting a natural child birth.

There are several books I’ve picked up along the way. From birth, breastfeeding, to feeding baby solids.

Dr. Brighten does such a great job of addressing what a women’s body goes through post baby. Everything from what supplements you should take, benefits of encapsulating your placenta, breastfeeding help, healing your vagina, digestive support, enhancing your mood and so much more. She even shares recipes that will help give you the nutrients your body needs.

She also explains what the baby is going through developmen-tally at each stage. It really helped to give me an idea of different combinations I could make and how to store etc. She even talks about nutrition and why organic is important.

Love these jammies! Not only are they organic but super soft. They come in the cutest patterns too. They have them infant sizes all the way up to toddler sizes. I also really like their Trainer Unders. They are made from or-ganic cotton as well and are a thicker underwear. Perfect for when you’re first starting to potty train them and they may have some accidents. The accident doesn’t get everywhere.

I actually didn’t get this until my second daughter. She would scratch her head even at 6 months. These have a velcro closure around the wrists so they stay on. Plus, they offer them in sizes 0-3 months and 0-6 months. I would just put these on whenever she was taking a nap or at night. They stayed on and her head wasn’t scratched up anymore! I didn’t buy booties from here but they also sell booties with velcro closure. If it’s one thing most mom’s realize it’s how hard it is to find booties or shoes that actually stay on a babie’s foot. These look like they would actually stay on!

This pacifier is great because it’s made of 100% natural rubber and is BPA-free, PVC-free, and phthalate- free. For babies 6+. I also like Eco Piggy’s Nasal Aspirator the best for keeping nasal passages clear in baby. I’ve tried others in the past and they don’t compare to this one. It has a smaller aspirator that fits into babie’s nose easier. It’s also made of silicone which makes it softer. It even comes with a cleaning brush and carrying bag.

Wraps & CarriersGreen Baby

This is by far my favorite carrier. It offers great support for your back and you can carry your baby in it from the very beginning if you have a baby insert. Plus, you can have the baby face out-wards too once they get to a certain age. I wear my baby around the house when I need to get stuff done, as well as for walks, etc. The options are endless! They have an organic carrier option too. I do have the organic one, however you can’t wear the baby facing out, so I ended up getting the Four Position 360 and love it! Now baby can face out, as well as in, on your hip or on your back. In the beginning you face them in but once they get older having the out-ward facing option is amazing! If you don’t get an organic material I would suggest washing it before use.

Ergo Carrier

This wrap can be worn from birth all the way up to toddler years. They have different fabrics to choose from. Bamboo, linen, silk and cashmere. I have a linen wrap in the color Heron. The linen wrap is made from natu-ral sustainable fabric and is naturally anti-bacterial. A lot of wraps can feel too loose and not secure. This wrap you don’t feel like that at all. It holds the baby in so well. The material doesn’t feel stretchy like a lot of wraps. I wear this around the house, shopping, on walks, etc.

Sakura Bloom Wrap

I know, another wrap but they all serve a purpose. The boba wrap I love because it is stretchy and great for wearing the baby in the very beginning. When they’re first born you feel like you’re holding the baby all the time. This helps to be able to get things done around the house. I don’t like it as much for when they get big-ger because the fabric stretches a lot and I don’t feel they are as secure. I even liked this for wearing them while they were sleeping and I could lay down and take a little snooze too. They stayed put but it was com-fortable for them because it was stretchy. The ergo and sakura bloom aren’t as stretchy and not something I would have them in just moving around the house in the very beginning.

Just pour the puree in and freeze

and pop out in put in mason jars-easy! The lid is the amazing part-because it keeps the milk and food from freezer burn.

I never had this for my first daughter and wish I would have. It’s a game changer. Instead of having to hold the pumps up to your breasts, you can be hands free and be on your phone, computer, etc., because the bra holds the pumps up for you. Car SeatsGreen Baby

This is a hard one, as all car seats are mandated by law to have some sort of fire retardant on them. Com-panies use halogenated flame retardants(chlorinated and brominated) which are harmful. These have actual-ly been known to transfer to children from their skin to their body and cause health issues. However, there are better options to choose from and natural fire retardant alternatives. Companies don’t have to use the bad ones! I’ve actually had several car seat brands due to an accident(don’t worry no one was hurt). But after an accident where your car isn’t drivable, you are supposed to get a new car seat. So I have a little experience with some different brands.

I got this car seat for my first daughter. I originally got it because it does not contain brominated fire retardants, it was said to be on the lowest end of the scale for toxicity and it is one of the light-est car seats, so you don’t feel like you’re lugging around a tank all the time. The fabric also removes easily and can be washed. Something that was high on my priority list. After using it for my first daughter I had some pros and cons with the car seat. The first con was it only holds a baby that weighs up to 22 pounds. My daughter was on the bigger size. So 10 months in we had to switch to a bigger car seat. The canopy isn’t great in it. It’s flimsy and never pulled out and stayed out. I did like how it was lighter but in the end it was more of a hassle since we had to get a bigger car seat sooner. I wouldn’t recommend unless they fixed the can-opy.

Maxi-Cosi Infant Car Seat Mico 30

This is the car seat I got with my second daughter and I absolutely love it! I never knew what a great infant car seat could feel like until having this one. First, they don’t use any halogenated flame retardants. They also don’t use any lead, cadmium, phthalates, formaldehyde, or other harmful substances commonly used in car seats. They do use ammonium polyphosphate, a safer flame retardant but it isn’t on any of the fabric that comes in contact with baby’s skin, but on the interior foam. Second, the safety ratings are awesome! It even has a load leg that creates even more stability. It isn’t super heavy, yet you can fit a baby that weighs up to 32 pounds. The canopy on it is amazing! It comes out pretty far over the baby to begin with but then they take it a step further and have a zippered canopy that you can pull out and completely cover the baby.

I love this feature, especially because I live in the Northwest where rain is abundant. It also is so easy to loosen the harness and get the baby in and out of it. So much easier than the Maxi Cosi. I highly recommend! The base is way more sturdy too. I can’t say enough good things about this car seat!

Where to buy: Giggle

This is the second car seat we got for my first daughter after she outgrew her first car seat. I also got this car seat because it scored lower on the toxicity and the safety ratings were great. I really liked how cushy it was and she always looked comfortable in it. It was hard to tighten the bigger she got and has no built- in seat belt lock offs, so it’s harder to install sometimes with vehicle belt. However, overall it was a great car seat and she always seemed to be happy in it. The fabric does contain a fire retardant but it is the safer non-halogenated fire retardant. No chemicals were found in the foam.

Maxi Cosi Pria 70 Convertible Car Seat

This is the second convertible car seat I got for my daughter. It is more expensive but the best of the best in my opinion. The safety ratings are amazing! They should be because this car seat is quite heavy. It’s a breeze to install and it’s a little more narrow, so great for smaller spaces. It also uses Greenguard Select Certified(-less toxic) fabric and does not use chlorinated or brominated flame retardants. Also, their seats are recycla-ble-pretty cool! It can allow your child to rear face up to 50 pounds, pretty great. It’s sleek design and adjust-able headrest is pretty cool too. I love how easy it is to get my daughter in and out. She actually can easily get in the car seat now. I highly recommend!

StrollersGreen Baby

To be honest I didn’t really look into getting a “green” stroller when I bought mine 3 1/2 years ago. I just went with one that my sister in law really loved. One of the biggest reasons I went with it was because it easily turns into a double stroller once you buy a second seat. I haven’t found a double like this that is complete-ly non-toxic. It also has a great big stroller basket and the seats can fold back to be nearly flat. The canopy is great as well. It never smelled strong when I got it and I did let it off gas for quite a while before using it. A lot of strollers are made out of foam, where as this one is fabric. We don’t use our stroller a ton. More in the summer for walks and traveling. However, if you are going to use your stroller all the time you might want to look into a cleaner option. I would definitely recommend this stroller, it has been great!
