    The 2017 Gulf Coast Real Estate & Economic Education Conference offers

    a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights from world-renowned,

    global thought leaders. The Conference Program will highlight key

    topical insights into crucially important aspects of negotiation,

    leadership, and digital marketing, and will provide attendees with a

    highly interactive and participative session to learn about national,

    regional and local economic and market conditions.

    Drawing upon a broad spectrum of internationally and nationally

    respected industry, academic, policy and economic development

    professionals, this year’s conference is intended for all practitioners

    of commercial and residential real estate brokerage, development,

    appraisal and property management, title insurance, commercial

    banking, mortgage lending, accountancy and the law.

    2017 Conference Speakers

    Stuart Diamond, Ph.D. Dr. Diamond, Professor of Practice in the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business,

    earned J.D., M.B.A., and B.A. degrees from Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania and

    Rutgers University, respectively. At Wharton, for more than 90% of the semesters over the past

    13 years his negotiation course has been the most popular in the school based on the course

    auction and he has won multiple teaching awards. He is also a former Associate Director of the

    Harvard Negotiation Project. In addition to teaching at both Harvard and Wharton, he has also

    taught and advised thousands of corporate and government leaders in more than 60 countries.

    His entrepreneurial ventures include a $100 million satellite fnancing in Ukraine, persuading 3,000

    farmers in the Bolivian jungles to forsake coca for bananas, chairing a listed high-tech company, co-

    owning an airline and being an executive in medical services and Wall Street energy futures trading

    frms. He has advised leaders of more than 220 of the Fortune 500 companies and numerous

    entrepreneurs. He has also taught at Oxford University, Columbia University, New York University,

    the University of Southern California, the University of California at Berkeley and the University of

    Pennsylvania Law School. His New York Times bestseller, Getting More, has sold more than 1.3 million

    copies. His innovative negotiation model, focusing on perceptions and emotions instead of leverage

    and logic, has been used to train 12,000 people at Google and 5,000 in U.S. Special Operation Forces.

    In a prior career, Dr. Diamond won a Pulitzer Prize as a journalist at The New York Times.

    Craig L. Pearce, Ph.D. Dr. Pierce, the Ben May Chair of Business in USA’s Mitchell College of Business, earned Ph.D., M.B.A,

    and B.S. degrees from the University of Maryland, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and

    Pennsylvania State University, respectively. His areas of expertise include leadership, teamwork and

    change management. He has won several awards for his research including one from the Center for

    Creative Leadership for research on shared leadership. His published research appears in, among

    others, Organizational Dynamics, Journal of Management, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of

    Organizational Behavior, Journal of Managerial Issues, Advances in Interdisciplinary Studies of Work Teams,

    Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, Human Resource

    Management Review, and Journal of Management Systems. His most recent book, Share
