ABOUT US

EEC In Action (EIA) is an annual National English Competition Which is held by EEC (Economics English Club) University of Lampung, where this year, we present EIA XX.

EIA XX has 5 competitions consisting of Debate, Newscasting, Speech, Storytelling, and Paper Presentation with an open category.

This year will be the 2nd time for EEC In Action (EIA) to be held online.

EIA XX 2021 2

1. Every participants must register themselves by visiting official website of EEC In Action (EIA) XX.

2. To be eligible to compete, the participants have to complete the payment of registration fee before the due date.

3. The registration will be closed if the maximum quota has been fulfilled.

4. The judges decisions are final and can not be contested.

5. The Technical Meeting, The Breaking Announcement, and Winners Announcements will be conducted through Zoom meeting.

6. Every participant who has registered online must re-register themselves by attending technical meeting.

7. Every rule must be followed. Disqualification is necessary for any participant who violate the rules.

2. ROUNDSa. Preliminary Round

In this round, the participants have to submit a softcopy of their Speech and the video of their performance, which has been prepared before the competition begins with the theme: “The Dazzling Beauty of Your True Color”. The video can be uploaded to the participant’s YouTube Channel and then confirm the link to the committee. For the preliminary round, the participants must send the softcopy text and video of their performance before the deadline to be assessed (max on Saturday, September 4th 2021 at 23.59 WIB).

b. Semi Final RoundIn this round, the participants have to submit a softcopy of their Speech and the video of their performance, which has been prepared one day before with themes from ones given by the committee. The video can be uploaded to the participant’s G-Drive and then confirm the link to the committee. Participants are allowed to pick 1 (one) from 3 (three) themes that will be given by the committees. The theme for Semi Final Round will be given on Friday, September 10th 2021 at 09.00 WIB (after Top 15 Announcement). For the semi final round, the participants must send the softcopy text and video of their performance before the deadline to be assessed (max on Saturday, September 11th 2021 at 09.00 WIB).

c. Final RoundIn this round, the participants will deliver a Speech that they have made one day before the final round begins. Participants are allowed to pick 1 (one) from 3 (three) themes that will be given by the committees on Saturday, September 11th 2021 at 20.00 WIB (after Top 6 Announcement). The participants have to make a Speech in ±24 hours preparation. There will be 6 (six) minutes for each participant to perform their Speech. Final Round is held on Saturday, September 12th 2021, live via Zoom Meeting.

a. Preliminary RoundIn this round, the participants have to submit a video of their performance with their own original news text that has been prepared before.

b. Semifinal RoundIn this round, participants have to do a live news reporting through a zoom meeting that will be held by the committee.

c. Final RoundIn this round, participants have to do a live talk show with a guest star through a zoom meeting that will be held by the committee.

STORYTELLING

2. ROUNDSa. Preliminary Round

In this round, the participants have to submit a video of their performance with their own original story that has been prepared before. If the participant uses any existing story, then it has to contain any modification from the original story. The theme of the story is: “True Color of Your Soul”.

b. Final RoundIn this round, participants have to submit a video of their performance with the story that they will be making out of the three words. Participants will be given 3 (three) lotteries, which consist of words that have been prepared by the committee. Participants should make a story from these three points in one day preparation, starting from Friday, September 10th, 2021.

2. ROUNDSa. Preliminary Round

In this round, the participants have to submit their paper. The theme for all round will be : “Maximizing the Innovation of Indonesia's Local Potency for Empowering the SDGS Implementation in the New Normal Era”.

b. Semifinal RoundFinal Round is held on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 after the preliminary round and technical meetings have been held. In this round, participants will deliver a presentation of their submitted paper in front of 3 (three) adjudicators.
