    2.00 Guidelines for Minor Project Report

    2.01: ObjectiveStudents of BBA Semester III are to write a Minor Project Report (MPR) on a topic of management

    assigned to him/her by his/her guide during the summer vacation.

    The academic objectives of writing the MPR is:

    1. To inculcate the habit of self study.2. To enhance analytical ability by reading a new topic, formulate a cohesive picture and convert the

    understanding of topic into a report form.

    3. To develop ability of extracting the material from different sources and writing comprehensivelyand exhaustive report on an allotted topic.2.02: Scope of Minor Project ReportEach student is to write a MPR on a Company, listed in Stock Exchange, as mutually decided after

    discussion with the designated guide. Report to be prepared as per the guidelines provided by your guide

    and as broadly suggested in the text below. Students are required to collect material on the chosen firm

    from the published resources viz. newspapers, magazines and company reports and internet.

    2.03: Final Report

    The methodology & format of the minor project report are attached as Appendix-A & Appendix-Brespectively. All students are to adhere to these guidelines.

    3.00Appendix-A

    METHODOLOGY OF MINOR PROJECT WORK

    The methodology for carrying out the minor project report is given in the following headings. The length

    on the report is to be arranged between 30-40 pages. A 10% variation on either side would be

    permissible. Each student is to compile his/her study covering the following directions as mentioned

    below:

    Chapter-I- Introduction and Company History:

    Under the chapter, brief introduction on Formation of the company, Article of Association and

    memorandum of Association.

    Chapter-II- Vision, Mission and Objectives of the company:

    Under this chapter, students have to write the purpose of formation and current status and future plans

    of the company; as regards to these attributes.

    Chapter-III-Market linkages:

    This chapter should provide the details of various kinds and types of products being manufactured by the

    company. Study should discuss the total market size under each category / product and market share of

    the company under study.

    Chapter-IV-Financial linkages:

    In this chapter, companys annual financial reports for last three years are to be included and analysis to

    be carried out by the students. Students have to observe the stock prices of company scripts for eight

    weeks on daily basis and record the same with their comments on fluctuations. These details are to be

    included in the report.

    Chapter-V-Company Image:

    In this chapter, companys strengths and weaknesses against competitor and companys image in

    corporate world to be discussed. Apart from this, initiatives pursued by company to meet their corporate

    social responsibilities are to be discussed.

    Chapter-VI-Conclusion and Your Opinion:

    In this chapter, you have to give your personal opinion, based upon the knowledge acquired during study

    on Would you like to join this company? If yes Why? If NoWhy Not?

    Title PageThe format of the title page is attached as annexure-I

    AcknowledgementsIn the Acknowledgements page, the writer recognizes his indebtedness for guidance and assistance by

    the faculty guide and any other member (s). Courtesy demands that he/she also recognizes specific

    contributions by other persons or institutions such as libraries and research foundations.

    Acknowledgements should be expressed simply, tastefully, and tactfully duly signed above the name.

    Body of the Project Report: Guidelines for Project Report WritingThe guidelines for writing the Project Report, following aspects must be adhere to:

    (a) Page Size: Good quality white A4 size executive bond paper should be used for typing and

    duplication.

    (b) Page Specifications:

    (i) Left Margin : 1.25 inch

    (ii) Right Margin : 1.25 inch

    (iii) Top Margin : 1 inch

    (iv) Bottom Margin : 1 inch

    (c) Normal Body Text:

    (i) Font Size: 12, Times New Roman, 1.5 Spacing, Single Side Writing.

    (ii) Paragraphs Heading Font Size: 12, Times New Roman.(iii) Page/Title Font Size: 14

    (f) Structure of Final Report: A minor project report should be covered between 30 to 40

    typed pages in 1.5 space on A4 size paper with 12 font size. 10 % variation is permissible.

    (h) Binding & Color Code of the Report:

    (i) Hard Bound Report

    (ii) Colour scheme of the jacket of the report - Black(iii) Printing on the jacket in Silver White(iv) Two copies of the printed report are to be submitted. One hard bound and one

    spiral bound, along with a soft copy in a CD pasted inside the front cover of the spiral

    bound copy.
