SIGN UP FOR ACCOUNT Join Pinterest by using the website: www.pinterest.com

If you already have an account click log in now

If you are with a school district and are using your Pinterest information to share information it may be a good idea to create a school Pinteret account so you do not have to give out your personal Pinterest account information.

HOW TO CREATE A BOARD

Pinterest is an organizational site for everything that you like therefore boards are needed to separate your ideas.

Here is what it will look like: Click the plus sign to the left of your login Then click create a board

Then you name the board

PINNING ACTIVITIES

Find activities that you like by: Searching

or Finding activities from other people that you Follow

Then click “Pin it” and select your board for it to be placed in.

FOLLOWING PEOPLE

If you would like to have a person’s pins show on your home page then you can “Follow” them by clicking the follow button under their picture.

You can also see everyone that you are following and everyone that is following you.

INCORPORATING PINNING IN YOUR LESSON PLANNING Example of how you can take your pins and guide your lesson planning Grade Level: Early Childhood Topic: Author Study on Eric Litwin Monday: Art- Creating a Pete the Cat with hand print and then writing “Pete the Cat”Tuesday: Literacy- Color his shoes then will fill in the blank by writing the color shoes they selected.Wednesday: Math- Counting buttons and then making simple math problemsThursday: Fine Motor- Follow directions to assemble Pete and then but in order “I love my white shoes”Friday: Dramatic Play- Using props the children will act out the Pete the Cat books
