Once you have entered details remember to click on save for later or save andproceed to make sure that you do not lose any information that has been entered.

On the left hand side of the screen there are links which will take you to each ofthese eight sections.

On the right hand of the screen there is a list which shows which sections have beencompleted, when a section is completed it changes from red to green.

QualificationsEnter the student’s university details – please enter the name of the UNIVERSITYand not the college. X and XII standard details do not need to be entered here,however, certificates can be uploaded later.

Background detailsThis is only applicable if the student has studied at the University of Glasgowpreviously or if they are applying for a medicine course and are a member of theGeneral Medical Council or if they are applying for a teaching course and are amember of the General Teaching Council.

Academic Prizes/ DistinctionsIf the student has received any academic prizes or distinctions, details can be entered

here.

English LanguageEnter either TOEFL or IELTS score or the date when the test will be taken.

EmploymentIf the student is applying for an MBA please enter full work experience details here.Relevant work experience for other courses can also be entered here.

Disability/ Special NeedsIf the student has any disabilities or special needs details can be entered here.

Supporting documents

Supporting statement

Attach a short statement from the applicant with additional information such asevidence of previous academic or professional experience that qualifies them for thecourse (projects; placements; voluntary work etc). The applicant should state thereasons why they selected this course and what benefit they hope to achieve throughsuccessful completion of the course. For Science subjects, the statement shouldinclude information about lab techniques they have used. For MBA, they shouldprovide detailed information about their managerial experience (supervisory role,project management; budgeting responsibilities, etc). The statement should not belonger than an A4 page.

Trouble shooting

Submitting the application

You have 42 days to complete and submit the application.

Remember to save each section that is complete.

Once you have completed the application, take note of the applicant number andsubmit the application in order for it to be received and processed. If the applicationis not completed within 42 days it will be deleted and you will have to start a newapplication.

An automated e-mail will be sent out to you to confirm that an application has beensubmitted successfully. The e-mail will include the applicant number that you mustquote in your correspondence with us.

Technical help

If you need technical help while using the system, contact the helpdesk [email protected]. The helpdesk operates Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.Please provide details of the page(s) you are having problems with and any errormessages you receive. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS TOTHE HELPDESK, as the helpdesk cannot upload your documents for you.
