By Spanish law, all companies providing hotelier-like

services have to collect their guests' identity details

(names, ID number, birthday and nationality) and

communicate them to the authority.

This guide will provide you with a simple 3 steps

process to send your information to the Register of

travellers in holiday rentals a.k.a. Registre de Viajeros de

Establecimientos de Hospedaje.

You then need to go to the URPA (Unidad Regional de Policia Administrativa)or Mossos Police station to finish the registration process, you can find thenearest station here.When this is done. You will receive a login and a password by email. Withthese credentials you can then connect to the website to do the PoliceReport:  https://mossos.gencat.cat/en/inici/index.htmlTo do the report: Serveis I tràmits > Registre de viatgers d’establimentsd’hostalatge.

To do that, fill in the PI-15 form:

When entering the application for the first time, you will have to choose if youprefer to send your guests information with 'ficheros masivos de viajeros' orwith 'fichas individuales'. The first option will be used for systems that canautomatically send the travellers' information, whereas the second optionwill require to manually type and send the travellers' information through theplatform.This will have to be done only once, as the system will remember your defaultchoice. It is then always possible to modify your choice if you decide tochange.

3A. REGISTERING GUESTS MANUALLY

This option is recommended when managing a small number of apartmentsand the task can be done daily without exceptions.On the left hand side, click: Envío información viajeros > fichas individuales deviajeros.Select Nueva Ficha. Fill in the necessary information and click Aceptar. Repeatthis operation for each guest.

When all the guests have been added. Click enviar fichas.

Once you have sent all the information, click: Descargar comprobante de envío.To download the proof of the operation. All reports must be kept by theowner / manager of the apartment.

It is also possible to have the process automated to send automatically theguests’ information at the end of every day. The travellers' information stillneed to be typed in a special software, but the process of sending them on adaily basis to the Mossos d'Esquadra is automated and will have to follow thestructure set by the 14/07/2003 Resolución. This option is recommended for companies that have an IT teamcapable creating such a software, the effort put into it will ultimately lead to again in time and efficiency!
