The Institution of Engineers (India), IEI, is amultidisciplinary professional body thatencompasses 15 engineering disciplines andgives engineers a global platform from which toshare professional interests.
Established in 1920, with its headquarters atKolkatta, IEI has served engineering fraternity forover nine decades. In this period of time it hasbeen inextricably linked with the history ofmodern-day engineering.
In 1935, IEI was incorporated by Royal Charterand remains the only professional body in Indiato be accorded this honour. Today, its quest forprofessional excellence has given it a place ofpride in almost every prestigious and relevantorganization across the globe.

All engineering students studying in an engineering college orpolytechnic are eligible for membership of the Chapter.

How to open a Students’ Chapter ?
An engineering College or a Polytechnic can make a writtenrequest to the Secretary & Director General, The Institution ofEngineers (India) Head quarters at Kolkatta expressing adesire to open a Students’ Chapter. Name of the branch/branches of engineering shall have to be mentioned.Onobtaining written permission from IEI, with specific codenumber, necessary form can be downloaded fromwww.ieindia.info.
Fee Structure for members of Students’ Chapter:
