Also, if you are attending the Masters on the Saturday or staying in Augusta then you will be automatically

invited to the famous Your Golf Travel Masters Party on Saturday night which was hosted in 2017 by Darren Clarke and Sky’s David Livingstone. Finally, for help with golf, dinner reservations or anything else there will be access locally to our concierge service where you will be looked after by one of our 20 strong team. Situated approximately 90 minutes from Augusta National, Athens is a vibrant yet laid-back college town with a world-famous music scene, responsible for the likes of the B-52s, R.E.M. and Widespread Panic. During Masters week the atmosphere is electric, especially if Bubba Watson is in contention, with the eccentric 2-time Masters champion having spent his college years honing his unique golf skills at the University of Georgia.

As such it’s a superb base for any Masters golf holiday, and after a day spent strolling the fairways at Augusta National, there’s not much that can top an evening out in the pleasant, walkable downtown area where you’ll find a burgeoning restaurant culture, as well as plenty of vibrant bars where the university spirit is alive and well, allowing you to carry the fun on long into the night if you so wish. If you’re looking for an evening of revelry, you can’t pass up the chance to visit the world famous 40 Watt Club.
