Arts and Crafts Sessions Join our Activity Leaders for some fun! Schedule a ½ hour time slot for crafting, coloring, painting and more.

Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Sessions are available for 1 family or 4 kids maximum.

Arts and Crafts To-Go We offer a variety of ready-made craft kits. They are mess free and will keep kids of all ages entertained.

Children/Family ActivitiesLil Wranglers Club The Lil Wranglers club is a great way for kids to spend time doing a variety of enjoyable and educational

activities. Crafts, nature walks, scavenger hunts and more! We offer a safe and fun environment for your

child. We ask that an adult accompany the child to the Laurel Room at check-in time and pick up of child.

Reservations are required. Family unit sign-ups only. Ages 4-10. Maximum per session is 5.

Cost: $30 per child. Reservations are made with Ranch Concierge at ext. 7700 or call (805) 686-7700.

Children 14-16 years may enjoy the facility if accompanied by a parent or adult.

Following COVID protocol, the Fitness Center is now open to our guests in 45-minute sessions featuring

a selection of cardio machines, circuit training equipment and free weights. Spacing is limited and

Indoor Spa treatments range from soothing Swedish and Deep muscle massages and gentle cleansing

facials. Our team of professional massage therapists and aestheticisms customize treatments for your

individual needs and preferences. COVID protocols are followed and patrons must wear a mask for the

duration of their treatment, excluding facials.

We also continue to offer a select number of treatments in our new outdoor location for those who want

to enjoy the fresh air – weather permitting. Wearing a bathing suit during outdoor treatment is optional.

Patrons must also wear a mask for the duration of their treatments.

A limited number of complementary bikes in various sizes are available for guests who would like to take a

leisurely ride up the road to explore Solvang on a first-come, first-serve basis. Stop in at the Front Desk or

Ranch Concierge to make the arrangements. Helmets are included.

Guided BikingFor those looking for a little more adventure or challenge, choose from one of our guided road cycling,

mountain bike or hybrid tours. Whether you are with a group or riding solo, your guide can take you

through a challenging or scenic route. For all guided tours, meet at the Front Office 15 minutes before the

scheduled time ready to ride.

may bring your own; helmets are provided. Route is based on individual or overall group skill level.

Space is limited to six. Ages: 16 and up.

Guided Road Electric-Assist Bike Day Tour This ride is perfect for all riding levels. Guided tour includes professional tour guide, hybrid e-bike, helmet

and souvenir water bottle. Easy: 8-10 miles, options for additional mileage. Duration 1.5 to 2 hours.

Space is limited. Ages: 13 and up.

Guided Trail Dual Suspension Electric-Bike Tour Intermediate/Advanced riders only. Guided tour led by professional bike tour guide and includes bike,

helmet and water bottle. Duration up to 2 to 2.5 hours. Space is limited. Ages: 16 and up.

Alisal Lake is accessible only by the Lake Shuttle which departs from the parking area near the

Chuckwagon Grill. The lake staff is on hand to assist you with fishing and boating needs and to ensure

your safety at all times.

Alisal Lake is a great place to try your hand at fishing for largemouth bass and bluegill, with a wide variety of fishing gear and traditional tackle available for rent. Alisal Lake is catch-and-release only; a California fishing license is not required. Fishing is allowed from electric motor boats or from the dock. All other boats are for recreation only.

Equipment Rental (fees subject to change)

Fishing rod: $25 per day Fly rod and one fly: $30 per day Live bait: One box complimentary with rod rental; $5 for each additional box. Guests are welcome to bring their own rod; a $15 charge will apply.

Lessons: PGA professionals offer expert private and group instruction for golfers of all ages and abilities.

All instructional sessions include practice balls; loaner clubs are also available.

Clinics: PGA professionals offer expert instruction, allowing a student to learn as much as possible in

every aspect of the game. Each clinic can address the needs of each student.

Full Swing, Pitching, chipping, sand, and putting. Meet at the River Course lesson area. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Experience level: All levels Maximum 6 participants. Ages 7 and up.

Cost: 1 person $80 for 60 min.; 2-3 people $35 each for 60 min.; 4-6 people $35 each for 90 min.

When making reservations, please advise staff of rider’s proficiency so an appropriate mount can be

As a courtesy to other riders and to get the most riding time, please arrive

at the Barn 15 minutes prior to the scheduled ride time.

BarnNovice - This scenic walking ride accommodates novice riders who desire a slower ride. It is suitable to

persons who have never been on a horse or those who ride only occasionally, but do

not have experience riding at a trot or lope (canter). Ages: 7 and up.

Intermediate - This ride requires riding proficiency at a trot (should be able to post). Ages: 7 and up.

Advanced - For guests 12 years and older, according to the rider’s proficiency. This ride involves short

lopes, which may require steering around obstacles; it may also involve rough terrain, including steep hills.

Advanced riders must be at least 12 years and have a solid seat and quiet hands, able to control a spirited

horse and experienced at all paces.

Trail Safety Safety is our prime directive in guiding you and your family to an enjoyable and safe trail riding vacation.

Our weight limit is 240 pounds. (Advanced riders must weigh under 210 lbs.) If you have members of your

family that have never ridden before, you might also consider maximizing your experience here by taking a

few basic riding lessons during your stay.

Appropriate Apparel Horseback riding on mountain trails requires participants with proper attire and some minimum physical

conditioning. Please come dressed in long pants, and closed toed shoes or boots. Hiking boots are not recom-

mended. Slip-on shoes, sandals and backpacks are not allowed.

Helmets are available and recommended for all riders

Hats are allowed but must be securely fitting and not at risk of blowing off. Stampede strings recommended.

Your wrangler has final say over any items that may pose a safety risk to horse or rider.

Breakfast Horseback/Hay Wagon Rides Designed for riders at every level, the breakfast ride includes a bountiful ranch-style buffet breakfast at

the historic Adobe Campsite (accessible only by horse or hay wagon), complete with campfire and the best

buttermilk pancakes you’ll ever taste.

The horseback ride to the Adobe takes 45–60 minutes. Those of you who have pre-registered for horses

should be at the Barn at the following times (15 minutes before your scheduled ride):

Novice riders: 7:15am Intermediate riders: 7:30am Advanced riders: 7:45am

Those who choose not to ride or are not yet old enough to ride on a trail, can hop aboard the hay wagon for

an unforgettable 15 minute ride of a different sort.

Rider Skills for Barrel Racing Come join us to have fun in the arena and learn the fundamentals of one of the most popular rodeo events.

Barrel Racing requires balance, timing and refined control of a horse. This class will teach you the basics

including: a brief history of Barrel Racing, how to independently control a horse in the arena and work

towards completing a full pattern at a trot. Although Barrel Racing is historically a women’s event, today it

is dominated by both men and women.

Experience level: Intermediate or Advanced.

Maximum 6 riders. Ages: 12 and up.

Lead-Around Horseback Rides Available daily. An Alisal Wrangler will be on hand to give your lil’ wranglers a lead around in the corral on

horseback. Ages: 6 and under.

We invite you to come by and meet all the animals and discover all of the new offerings we have put

together for you. Please refer to the “Ranch Daily” for scheduled times. We ask that children under the age

of 12 be accompanied by an adult. All ages are welcome.

Barnyard Etiquette Please, for safety reasons, no open toed shoes or sandals are allowed. To keep our animals safe, happy, and calm no running or screaming is allowed while in the Barnyard. Please do not pick up or chase the animals. This is how we keep them safe and friendly for everyone to enjoy.

We ask that no food or drink enter the Barnyard. Water bottles are permitted.
