General terminology for Grating:

1. Load Bar - a flat bar withstanding the main load, aligned parallel to the span direction.

2. Load Bar pitch - The distance from centre to centre of two adjacent load bars.

3. Cross Bar - the connecting bars, made from twisted bar, round bar or flat bar, which extendacross the load bars.

4. Cross Bar pitch - The distance from centre to centre of two adjacent cross bars.

5. Length - The maximum dimensions of a grating panel, measured parallel to the load bars, andin the same direction as the load bars.

6. Width - The maximum dimension of a grating panel, measured perpendicular to the load bars,and in the same direction of the cross bars.

How do I order GTECH Grating?How do I order

GTECH Grating?

Option 1: Stock Panels

GTECH Industries hold a wide range of stock panels available for immediate dispatch. All stock panels

are 5.8mtr x 1mtr (nominal) and are available in patterns as shown on page 4. We can supply these

as treated or untreated panels.

Option 2: Cut and Banded to your required size

GTECH Industries can offer a personalised service to supply a fabricated, finished product. Whether it

be aluminium or steel grating, we will cut to size from your approved drawings, edge band and

galvanise (or anodise if required for aluminium). Our grating is manufactured to Australian Standard

AS1657 and galvanised to AS/NZ 4680.

We require accurate drawings, with information clearly showing all

cut-outs, load bar and pattern type. Once our estimators have worked

out the most cost effective way of fabricating the panels, we will then

provide you with our estimated square metre rate for the project, or a

project specific, firm lump sum quotation.
