GS1 UK in healthcare
In 2014, the Department of Health mandated
the use of GS1 standards in its eProcurement
strategy. The strategy aims to achieve over
£1.5 billion in efficiencies throughout the NHS
and means that all NHS Trusts must adopt
GS1 standards and their suppliers must
become GS1 compliant.
GS1 standards are also integral to
Personalised Health and Care 2020, setting
out a framework for the provision of digital
health and care services that improve patient
safety and transparency.
Our two day conference will help you
understand how GS1 standards are being
implemented throughout the NHS –helping to
save thousands of lives and millions of pounds.
Speakers from the Department of Health,
leading NHS Trusts, industry thought leaders
and experts will inspire you. And hands-on,
interactive workshops will help you understand
how Trusts are already gaining value from the
implementation of GS1 standards.
