We are celebrating 30 years of Oxford Reading Tree by inviting your children to enter a Biff, Chip and Kipper story-writing competition! Thirty lucky winners will have their story and illustrations printed into a book for them to treasure forever. Two of the winners will be named ‘grand winners’ by the judges and will will also have their book covers illustrated by Oxford Reading Tree illustrator, Alex Brychta. Their books will be made available on our website from Autumn 2016 for millions to see!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS• The child’s name, age and the name of the school and class must be clearly written on every story• Entries must be sent with a completed entry form and received by 30th April 2016• Entries are limited to one per pupil, or you can submit a class story• Entries must be handwritten• Entries are welcome from UK and International schools• Unfortunately we are unable to return any entries• The winners will be chosen by Roderick Hunt and Alex Brychta • Winners will be announced in June 2016 on our competition web page • Don’t forget to check out the winning entries from Autumn 2016 at www.oxfordprimary.co.uk/ReadingTree30

To enter, all you need to do is: 1) download the 16-page competition entry booklet from www.oxfordprimary.co.uk/ReadingTree302) ask your children to write their own Biff, Chip and Kipper story on the lines provided and draw a picture on each page, including the cover3) make sure children only use pencil, crayon or pen for their illustrations (no paint, glue, glitter or added accessories)4) send your children’s entries back to us at the mailing or email address below by 30th April 2016.
