Rule #2
Bank’s operations, legacy IT
systems and business models are
most probably obsolete, but
traditional finance industry money,
assets and instruments still have
value
Rule #4
1849 gold rush made only few gold
miners rich, but
it was mainly shovel sellers and
service providers that made a
fortune
Tokenomics, Tokenization And Distributed Models
1. Tokenomics
■ Economical and financial models that use distributed finance and
tokenization as the basis of the economy
■ The full impact is much more than only use of tokens, it is to distribute
power, ownerships and transactions around network from central hubs
2. Tokenization
■ The process of converting the rights of an asset or a service into a digital
token typically on a distributed ledger such as blockchain
■ Almost anything tradeable can be a token; not only a startup with
whitepaper, but all utility and security tokens for private companies, real
estate, infrastructure, or commodites
3. Distributed Models
■ Refers to many new solutions in the Internet that are enabled by
distributed ledger type data and transaction models, as well as with
service components and open APIs
■ The end of big ‘black box’ banks and Internet giants, when finance
transactions, ‘wallets’, data control is distributed, and will have impact
even on big centralized services like Google, Amazon and Facebook
Blockchain Is Not Final
1. Proof-of-work (POW)• If two blocks are added simultaneously, then it is basically a competition to see who can perform the
calculation tasks faster and add more to the chain, because the longer fork wins. The reward for adding
a block is to receive some tokens (e.g. Bitcoins).
2. Leader-based system• This requires someone (or several people, either in a hierarchy or taking turns) is the leader and all
transactions are sent to them for their approval.
3. Proof-of-stake (POS)• Each party basically votes with their own money (tokens) which would be the consensus of the
transaction. If you are on the winner’s side you win money, otherwise you lose.
4. Voting-based system• There are several ways to create voting models – for example, you could have equal voting rights or
allow a leader to have more votes.
5. Hashgraph• This is quite a new solution – it’s a modified voting model, but the voting is based on information stored
in the network.
This Means Opportunities
1. Real time data, data analytics and AI can be used to evaluate and value digital securities
and underlining assets
■ Data is becoming really powerful in finance, fintech and distributed models, but of course a slide show or
a fancy data are not enough to value an asset
2. ICOs, TAOs, digital securities and smart contracts for many others and easier asset
classes help bring more investors and money
■ For example loans, real estate and later phase company equity
■ Practically, all assets in the world can go to digital securities and smart contracts
3. Needed components, like KYC, data and syndication, can be based on new distributed
technology solutions
■ These needs don’t necessary mean to use old centralized ecosystem solutions
4. It is important to have clear roles and responsibilities in the ecosystem
■ It is always complex if a party issues a security based on its own asset on its own market place based on
its own valuation model
