Multi-PropertyUserIfyouhaveaccesstomorethanoneproperty,youwillseealistofallofyourproperties.Clickthearrowtotherightofthepropertyyouwanttoaccessorusethesearchfunctiontodrilldowntoonelocation.TheBARCalendarforyourselectedpropertywilldisplayonceyouhaveselectedalocation.

OnceataPropertylevel,youcanaccessthevariousG6ROWRateAdministrationfunctionsusingthenavigationmenuontheleftsideofthescreen.NavigatingthroughthedifferentcomponentsofG6ROWRateAdministrationissimpleandexamplesareprovidedinthisuserguide.Mostfunctionsareavailableonbothadesktopcomputer,aswellasmobiledevices.However,somefunctionsarevisiblesolelyondeviceswithlargerscreens.Asanexample,openingordownloadinglargeviewsorreportsforselectdatamaybeaccessibleonlyonadesktoportabletversusamobilesmartphone.

Inthisuserguide,visualaids(i.e.,thepictures)willprimarilyshowdesktoporlaptopscreenssoastodisplaythefullsystemnavigationanduseroptions.Onmobiledevices,insomecasesitmaybenecessarytoselectthe“Hamburger”icon( )atthetopofyourscreendisplaytoshowthenavigationmenu.

Theapplicationutilizestheconceptof“defaults”inseveralinstancesinthedesign.Adefaultgenerallymeansthesystemwillassumethevalueyouhavesetupatthepropertylevelunlessyouoverridetheamount.Youhavetheabilitytoassigndefaultsforextrapersonupchargesandroomtypeupcharges.

• Fixed:Aratecodeassignedaspecificorfixeddollarvaluebasedonbedtypeanddate(s).• Floating:Aratecodethatprovidesapercentoffdiscountfromafixedratecode.Thediscountforafloatingratecodecanbe

constantorvariable.o ConstantFloating:Aratecodethatreferencesafixedratecodeandhasthesamepercentagediscounteveryday.

Theseratecodeswillbeautomaticallyextendedfortheperiodthatyouhaveextendedtheassociatedfixedratecode.(i.e.,availableforsalesdatesarethesameasreferenceratecode)

Thepricingplanisthemanifestationofyourstrategyintheformofpricing,availabilitycontrols,andpropertypoliciesrequiredtopositionyourpropertyforaspecifiedperiodoftime.

Generallytherearefivestepsrequiredtoprepareacompletepricingplan:

• Step1:EnsurethattheBARpricepoints,roomtypeandextrapersonupchargesarecorrectlysetupforeverydaywithinyourpricingplanperiod(establishedinRateAdministration).

• Step2:DeterminetheamountofinventoryyouarewillingtotakeforeachBARpricepointandpreparetheBARAllocationPlan(establishedinRateAdministration)

• Step3:Adjustpricingandavailabilityofotherratecodestosupportyourstrategy(establishedinRateAdministration)

• Step4:Reviewandupdateyourpropertypolicies(cancellationsandguaranteerequirements)(establishedinRateAdministration)

ReviewandupdatethelistofavailableBARPricePointshere.

G6ROWwillutilizethevaluesyouhavesetforeveryroomtypemasterandextrapersonupchargewhenpricingyourroomsviathePricingPlan.

Toupdatethepricingofnon-defaultroomtypemastersand/orextrapersonupchargeforthepricingperiod:

• RunthePricingReportfortherequiredpricingperiodtoseethecurrentvaluesforroomtypeupchargesandextrapersonupcharges.• Ifchangesareneeded,gotoWeeklySummaryorRapidEntrytoupdatetheupchargevalues.

Creating the BAR Allocation Plan

TheBARAllocationPlanallowsyoutoeasilypriceyourpropertytoaccountforchangesindemand.G6ROWwillfollowyourplanandraiseorloweryoursellableBARbasedontheoccupancyonthebooks.

Whenpreparingyourplan,specifythenumberofroomsyouwishtosell(akaallocation)wheneachBARpricepointisbeingpromoted.Youcanhaveadifferentallocationplanbydayofweekorthesameplanforeachdayoftheweekwithinyourpricingplanperiod.

Oncetheroomsinyourallocationaresold,G6ROWwillraiseyoursellableBARPricepointtothenextavailableBARPricepointwithanallocation.

Ascancellationsormodificationsarereceived,yourBARallocationplanwillpublishtheapplicablesellableBARpricepoint.

Finally,G6ROWallowsyoutoincorporatethefollowingmodifierstoyourBARAllocationPlan:

• Leadtime:Withtheleadtimefunctionyouspecify,basedonnumberofdayspriortoarrival,thelowestBARpricepointyouarewillingtosell.ThecombinationofBARAllocationplanandleadtimeallowsyoutoraiseandloweryoursellableBARasdemandchanges,whilealsotakingintoconsiderationthetimingofthedemand.

• Timeofdayrule:YoumayaddarulethatsetsaspecificBARpricepointatacertaintimeofdaybasedonoccupancyregardlessofonthebooksoccupancy.

• BARFreeze:ThisfunctionalityallowsyoutofreezethesellableBARpricepointasofthestartofaspecificday.ThisrulestopsintradaypricechangesbysettingtheBARpricepointyoustartthedayatasthesellableBARpricepointfortherestoftheday.

Note:

Ifyouhavechangedthevaluesoftheroomtypemasterdefaultsand/orextrapersondefaultchargesinRateAdministrationforoneormoredays(akaoverridethevalues),itisrecommendedthatyoudonotusetheBARAllocationfunctionforthosedays.Currently,G6ROWdoesnotaccountforthedefaultoverrideswhenaBARallocationplanisused.Thiswillbemodifiedinthefutureandatthatpoint,youwillbeinformedofthechange.

LeadTimeFunctionTheleadtimefunctionallowsyoutospecifythenumberofdayspriortoarrivalwhenaspecificBARpricepointmustbemadesellable.

TheBARpricepointwiththeleadtimewillbemadesellableONLYifthepropertyisnotalreadysellingahigherBARpricepoint.InthecasewhenthepropertyissellingahigherBARpricepointthantheonewiththeleadtime,G6ROWwillnotrevertorselltheBARpricepointwiththeleadtime.

AlthoughitispossibletoutilizetheleadtimefunctiononmultipleBARpricepointsforagivenday(asseeninexamplebelow)itisnotrecommendedastheresultsmaybedifficulttotrackandcandilutetheimpactofyouroverallBARallocationplan.

1. Foreachday,youcanseethesellableBARpricepointatyourpropertyandtheBARallocationplanwiththepercentageofroomsallocated,theequivalentinnumberofrooms,thenumberofroomslefttosellintheallocationandthenumberofdaysassignedtotheleadtimefunction.Ifyouhavenotcreatedanallocationplan,theRateshowsinOrange,indicatingtheratecamefromRateAdministration.

2. Thisviewalsoshowsyoutheoverallpercentageofroomsyouhaveallocatedtoallpricepoints.

Tip:Itisadvisedthatyoukeeptheoverallallocationpercentageto100%.

3. Inthisview,youcanalsomodifytheallocationplanforcurrentand/orfuturedaysbyclickingonthepricepointswithintheday(s).

Tips:
