Content Information: FactsPowered by an electric motor rather than a

gasoline engine

Impossible tell whether it is an electric as mostly electric cars are created by converting a gasoline-powered car, biggest clue is the fact that it is nearly silent

Page 8: Group 9 it presentation 3

8•more than 28,000 electric cars have been sold through Dec 2012

Japan

•Largest fleet of plug-in electric vehicles in the world

US

•More than 14,600 electric cars have been registered through Dec 2012

Content Information: Charging SystemGoals:To pump electricity into the batteries as quickly as

the batteries will allowTo monitor the batteries and avoid damaging

them during the charging process

Abilities:monitor battery voltage, current flow and battery

temperature to minimize charging timesends as much current as it can without raising

battery temperature too much

The number of respondents of different age group think whether electric cars can

replace gasoline vehicles in the future

Yes No

Page 19: Group 9 it presentation 3

19

Analysis of survey result(1)From the graph, it shows that……………

most of the respondent think that there is a positive prospect of electric vehicle -> as technology become more advanced, electric vehicle may become more user-friendly

The younger the respondent, the more they think that electric vehicles can replace gasoline vehicles in the future -> experience advanced technology, are confident with the prospect of electric vehicles

How much the respondents know about electric vehicle? Expert Know well Little bit So So...

I don't know at all

Page 21: Group 9 it presentation 3

Analysis of survey result(2)From the graph, it shows that……………

most of people have limited recognition about electric vehicle -> shows that the popularity of electric vehicle is not very high

the number of people who know very well about electric vehicle is one of the least

23

Analysis of survey result(3)From the graph, it shows that……………

Cost is there first concern when they buy a car

The number of recharge station is their second concern

-> in order for electric vehicles to become more common, these factors are the problems that need to be solved

Future DevelopmentBy the year 2020 30% of the cars driving

onthe road will be battery electric or plug-inhybrid

One in 10 cars globally will run on battery power alone by 2020

By 2020 electric vehicles and other green cars will take a third of the total of global car sales
