Connecting With.....

Richard BoydThis issue we are connecting you with Richard who is the Manager of our Sutton Office. Richard has been working in travel for 18years and we

are lucky that he has been with us for nearly 12 of those. He is an integral part of our team; his wealth of knowledge and expertise, in booking and managing all aspects of travel, is second to none.

What is your role at Grosvenor? UsuallycheeseandpicklebutonFridaymorningsit's sausages. I love Fridays and I love sausages. Oh sorry, you meant role, not roll. My mistake. In that case believe it or not I manage the hugely successful operation that is Grosvenor’s Sutton office. I have a wonderful and experienced team here and we look after some fantastic clients.

What do you enjoy most about working at Grosvenor? What I love most is that any one of us can make a difference as we all have a voice. We are able to have some input as to how things are done and we have all helped shape the company and make it the success it is today. Great companies are made by great people. We are lucky in that we have the best in the business here.

What are your favourite travel destinations and why? There aren’t many places that I desperately want to visit but haven’t yet had the chance to, as I’ve been very fortunate over the years and have visited some amazing places. Although DisneylandParishasbecomeasecondhome,I’dbe a liar if I didn’t say Orlando was top of the list of my favourites though. I was married there back in2001(notetoself–10yearanniversarythisyear) and have had two other amazing trips there. I can’t wait to get back there at some point soon, this time with our kids. Arguably, I am the biggest kid of us all. Disney have cast a spell on me!

What do you do in your spare time?Outside the office I enjoy spending time with my ever expanding family. When they allow, I try to keep up my hobbies of playing the drums and getting out on my bike. I’m currently putting together a home studio so I can get back into making music again. My days of playing in a band are long gone now. Time to go solo!

Stay connected: Remember to look out for our regular G Bulletins providing invaluable up to the minute news and information for you and your travellers.
