GROHE WIN ‘BEST IN TEST’ Whilst many manufacturers can lay claim to producing the best performing products available in the market, it’s much better when this is independently recognised. All GROHE products are life-tested before launch and will always exceed the highest international standards in quality and reliability.

This was fully realised when GROHE was awarded ‘best in test’ for thermostats and one-hand mixers by an Independent test body - TUV SUD.

ABOUT TUV SUDTUV SUD Product Service is renowned worldwide for its expertise in product assessment and certification. It services a wide range of industries, from Aerospace to Telecom, via General Manufacturing and Consumer Products.

ONE HAND MIXERS TUV SUD put single lever mixers from 9 manufacturers to the mechanical performance test. Replicating the effect of 20 years of usage on the products and the particular areas tested include:1. Actuation forces (smooth operation)2. Lever play (movement of handle) 3. Precision of water adjustment (temperature adjustment)4. Water tightness

GROHE was the overall winner, our single lever mixers stood out well ahead amongst the other single levers tested.

THERMOSTATS Our range of Grohtherm thermostats gained 12 accolades in this major independent test. 17 thermostats were selected from 8 leading European manufacturers. Thermostats were split into premium, mid range and entry-level price categories and subject to four rigorous tests including; Quality Control – measuring response time of the

thermostat and temperature consistency in the event of a pressure drop or a sudden increase in hot water temperature

Safety – to ensure protection against scalding in the event of the cold water being cut off

Handling – Precise adjustment of desired mixed water temperature, avoiding unwanted hot and cold shock under the shower Service quality – Overall service maintenance

GROHTHERM SET THE STANDARD Grohtherm 1000, 2000 and 3000 thermostats came top over all other competitor products in their respective categories. The Grohtherm 1000 proved the best buy for price conscious consumers; the Grohtherm 2000 was the undisputed winner in the mid-range category, and the Grohtherm 3000 and 2000 HP were the overall winning products of the entire test.

For convenience, comfort and safety, our thermostats feature GROHE TurboStat® technology. By increasing the sensitivity of the thermo element and restructuring the internal waterways, our thermostats react to abrupt changes in water pressure two times faster than before, and are up to nine times more accurate than the leading competitor’s. The desired temperature is reached in a fraction of a second and maintained for the duration of the shower.

GROHE StarLight®

Our chrome plating process, refined over the past 70 years, creates a deep and even layer and is known as one of the best surface finishes in the world. The result is a luminous, mirror-like sheen that is soil repellent and resists scratches and tarnishing. GROHE StarLight® ensures a sparkling chrome finish for years to come.

GROHE Silkmove®

Our unique cartridges are manufactured in-house from an advanced ceramic alloy, and coated with a Teflon lubricant. For peace, comfort and design freedom, our concealed cisterns feature GROHE Whisper® technology. Thanks to decoupled pipe supports, there is no sound transfer to the structure of the building when the water is released from the cistern to the bowl. The Rapid SL system gives you the freedom to design your ultimate bathroom by providing a secure and quick method of installing wall-hung basins, bidets, urinals and WC’s. Available in three different installation heights, each frame comes pre-assembled with sanitaryware fixings and is subject to stringent testing – our WC frames are tested to hold 400 kg.
