The motors listed in the tableon page T04.27 are WAMmodels manufactured accord-ing to IEC as well as DINstandards as far as junctionbox connections are con-cerned.This means, other electricmotor makes can be used pro-viding they conform to theabovementioned standardswithout need of changing thegear reducer.If motors with special technicalcharacteristics are required(voltage, cycles, double speedetc.) please contact a WAMsales office.

Controllare tutte le caratteri-stiche elencate sulla targhet-ta del motore e specialmen-te la tensione ed il tipo dimotore ( stella o triangolo ).

Far girare a mano l’alberoper verificare che giri libera-mente e rimuovere eventualibloccaggi usati per il traspor-to.

Prüfung des Isolationswi-derstandes

Vor der Inbetriebnahme, bzw.immer dann, wenn Hinweiseauf erhöhte Feuchtig-keitvorliegen, ist der Iso-lations-widerstand zu prüfen.

Der Widerstand - gemessenbei 25°C mit einem isolati-onprüfer (500V DC) - sollden nachfolgend genannten-Bezugswert übersteigen:

WARNUNGUn die Gefahr eines elektri-schen Schlages auszuschlie-ßen, sind die Wicklungen un-mittelbar nach der Messungzu entladen.

(Für erhöhte Umgebungs-temperaturen ist der angege-bene Bezugswert des Iso-la-tionswiderstandes für jeweils20°C zu halbieren).

Wenn der Bezugswert nichterreicht wird, ist die Feuchteinnerhalb der Wicklung zugroß und eine Trocknung er-forderlich.Für 12 - 16 Stunden solltedabei eine Ofentemperaturvon 90°C eingehalten wer-den, gefolgt von einerSchlußtrocknung bei 105°Cfür 6 - 8 Stunden.

Etwa vorhandene Verschluß-stopfen von Entwässe-rungsöffnungen sind wäh-rend der Wärmebehandlungzu entfernen.Wicklungen, die mit Salzwas-ser getränkt sind, müssenerneuert werden.

Se tale valore non può esse-re ottenuto, l’avvolgimento ètroppo umido e deve essereessicato in forno. La tempe-ratura del forno deve esseredi 90°C per 12-16 ore e suc-cessivamente di 105°C per6-8 ore.

I tappi dei fori di scarico con-densa devono essere rimos-si durante l’essicamento.Avvolgimenti che siano rima-sti immersi in acqua di marenormalmente devono essererifatti.

Direct-on-line or Star/Deltastarting

The terminal box on stand-ard single speed machinesnormally contains 6 windingterminals and at least oneearth terminal.

Earthing shall be carried outaccording to local regulationsbefore the machine is con-nected to the supply voltage.

The voltage and connectionare stamped on the ratingplate.

Direct-on-line starting(DOL)Y or ∆ winding connectionsmay be used.e.g. 660 V Y, 380 Y∆ indi-cates Y-connection for 660 Vand D -connection for 380 V.

Star/Delta starting (Y/∆)

The supply voltage must beequal to the rated voltage ofthe machine in ∆ -connection.Remove all con-nection links from the termi-nal block.For two-speed and specialmachines, supply connectionmust follow the instructionsinside the terminal box.

Terminals and direction ofrotationDirection of rotation is clock-wise when viewing the shaftface at the machine driveend, when the line phasesequence L1, L2, L3 is con-nected to the terminals asshown in the figure 1.To alter the direction of rota-tion, interchange the connec-tion of any two lines cables.

Avviamento stella/triangolo(Y/∆)Le tensioni di linea devonoessere uguale alla tensionenominale del motore in colle-gamento a triangolo.Togliere tutte le piastrine dicollegamento dai terminali.Per collegamento di motori adoppia velocità, motori spe-ciali e monofase, seguire leistruzioni riportate all’internodella scatola morsetti.

Terminali e senso di rota-zioneIl senso di rotazione è orariovisto dal lato comando quan-do la sequenza di fase L1, L2,L3 è collegata ai terminalicome indicato nella figura 1.Per invertire la direzione dirotazione, scambiare tra loroi collegamenti di due termianliqualsiasi.

Oltre ai terminali dell’avvol-gimento e di terra, la scatolamorsetti può contenere leconnessioni per termistori,caldiglie, bimetalli o termore-sistenze PT100.

AVVERTENZADurante le fermate, all’inter-no della scatola morsetti puòessere presente tensione uti-lizzata per alimentare le scal-diglie o direttamente l’avvol-gimento per tenerlo in tem-peratura.Gli schemi di collegamentoper circuiti ausiliari si trova-no all’interno del coperchiodella scatola morsetti o suetichette esterne.

AVVERTENZAIl condensatore in motorimonofase può rimanere ca-ricato tenendo in tensione imorsetti, anche quando ilmotore è ormai fermo.

La macchina è dotata di tut-te le protezioni necessarie,tuttavia vista la conformazio-ne e la funzionalità dellastessa vi è una zona dellamacchina che può essereprotetta solo nell’ ambito dell’impianto nella quale essaviene installata. Tale indi-spensabile protezione restapertanto a carico dell’impian-tista (Vedi disegno sotto).

However, in view of thestructure and function, thereis one machine area that canbe protected only within theplant in which it is installed.These essential safety de-vices are therefore the re-sponsibil ity of the plantmanufacturer (see drawingbelow).

La machine est dotée de tou-tes les protections nécessai-res, toutefois vus sa confor-mation et son fonctionne-ment, il y a une zone de lamachine qui peut être proté-gée seulement quand elle estmontée dans l'installationdéfinitive. Cette protectionindispensable est par consé-quent à la charge de l'instal-lateur (Cf. dessin ci-des-sous).

On arrival, prior to unloadingcheck if nature and quantityof the goods comply with theacknowledgement of order.

If any parts are damagedthrough transport immedi-ately state your claims in writ-ing on the consignment note(waybil). The driver is obligedto accept this and to leaveyou a copy. Send off yourclaims without hesitation tothe supplier if you receivedthe goods free destination ordirecty to your shippingagent. if you fail to state yourclaims on arrival of the goodsacceptance may be denied.Damage will be avoided dur-ing the unloading of thescrew conveyor if a suitableIifting device is hooked onappropriately. NEITHERPUSH NOR DRAG CON-VEYOR PARTS! Bear inmind you are handling me-chanical equipment. Pleasehandle with care.If supply includes morescrew feeders please ensureeach section of the samefeeder is marked with thesame serial number.Screw conveyors can be sup-plied in one or more pieces,with bare shaft or with driveunit.

TRANSPORT- HANDLING

Beim Empfang der Lieferungkontrollieren, ob die Ware inihrer Art und Menge mit denin der Auftragsbestätigunggenannten Datenübereinstimmen.

Eventuelle Unstimmigkeitenund/oder Schäden müssenunverzüglich in der hierfürvorgesehenen Rubrik desFrachtbriefes eingetragenwerden. Der Fahrer ist dazuverpflichtet, diesen Eintra-gungen stattzugeben unddem Empfänger eine Kopiedes Frachtbriefes mit dessenEintragungen zu überlassen.Sollte es sich um eine Frei-Haus-Lieferung handeln,muß der Empfänger die Re-klamation an den Frachtzah-ler schicken, ist er selbstFrachtzahler, direkt an denSpediteur. HANDLING

Always lift and handle themachine using the grips pro-vided for the purpose.

The lifting systems usedmust be suitable for the massand dimensions of the ma-chine, and the movements tobe made.

Hook the lifting grips bymeans of shackles or hookswith safety fasteners.

Do not use clamps, rings,open hooks or other systemsthat do not guarantee thesame safety as shackles orhooks with safety fasteners.

HANDLING

Die Maschine nur an den vor-gesehenen Lastaufnah-mepunkten anheben undhandeln.

Zum Gewicht, den Dimensio-nen und den Transport-bewegungen geeignetesHebezeug verwenden.

Die Befestigung der Maschi-ne an den Anschlagstellenmittels Schäkeln oder Hakenmit Sicherheitsverschluß vor-nehmen.

Die Verwendung von Klam-mern, Ringen, offenen Ha-ken oder anderen Vorrichtun-gen, welche nicht den glei-chen Sicherheitsstandardder Schäkel oder der Hakenmit Sicherheitsverschluß ge-währleisten, ist verboten.

MANUTENTION

Eseguire l' aggancio alle pre-se di sollevamento median-te grilli o ganci con chiusuredi sicurezza.

DISMANTLING

Prior to dismantling of thegear reducer or the end bear-ing from the screw convey-or, the screw must be se-cured against sliding out ofthe trough housing. Firstopen the inspection hatchbeneath the inlet spout. In-troduce a wooden plank intothe opening and restrain.Only now gear reducer orend bearing may be re-moved.

COMMISSIONINGPROCEDURE

Before definitive start-up ofthe machine, check to ensurethat installation and connec-tion to external supplies havebeen carried out completelyand correctly.

1) Read the USE and MAIN-TENANCE manual com-pletely.

2) Ensure that the machineis anchored firmly to theground.

3) Ensure that the cleaningwater delivery functionsproperly.

4) Check the power supplyconnections to ensure theyare correct and make surethat the box containing theconnections is closed per-fectly.

5) Before feeding in material,start the empty screw con-veyor and let it run forapprox. two minutes.

6) Check protections at out-let are present.

7)Check if foreign sub-stances or water have en-tered the conveyor housing.If so, remove trough coverand clean.Afterwards, replace cover.

INBETRIEBNAHME

Bevor die Maschine endgültigin Betrieb genommen wird, si-cherstellen, daß die Installati-on komplett und korrekt durch-geführt wurde und auch derAnschluß an die externenVersorgungsquellen korrektist. Zusammenfassung:

1) Die BETRIEBS- UNDWARTUNGSANLEITUNGganz durchlesen.

2) Sicherstellen, daß dieMaschine korrekt am Bodenbefestigt wurde.

3) Sicherstellen, daß die Was-serversorgung für Reini-gungszwecke gewäheleistetist.

4) Prüfen, ob die Anschlüs-se an die Stromversorgungkorrekt sind und die Kästenmit den elektrischen An-schlüssen verschlossensind.

5) Prüfen, Schnecke in lee-rem Zustand für ca. zwei Mi-nuten in Betrieb nehmen.

6) Prüfen, ob Schutzvorrich-tungen am Auslauf vorhan-den sind.

7) Prüfen, ob Fremdkörperoder Wasser ins Schnecken-innere eingedrungen sind. Ist dies der Fall, die ITrogab-deckung entfernen undFremdkörper entfernen bzw.Wasser ablaufen lassen undbestmöglich reinigen.Anschließend Trogabdek-kung wieder montieren.

Die Schnecke in leerem Zu-stand für ca. zwei Minuten inBetrieb nehmen.Wenn sie problemfrei läuft,Material zugeben und regu-lären Betrieb aufnehmen.

DEMARRAGE

Avant de mettre définitive-ment en marche la machine,vérifier que l’installation et lesraccordements aux alimenta-tion extérieures ont été effec-tués correctement Ces con-trôles sont rappelés ci-des-sous:

1) Prendre vision complète-ment du manuel UTILISA-TION et ENTRETIEN.

2) Vérifier la fixation correctede la machine au sol.

3) Vérifier le fonctionnementcorrect des refoulements del’eau de nettoyage.

4) Vérifier les raccordementsélectriques et la parfaite fer-meture des boîtiers conte-nant les connexions.

5) Vérifier le sens de rotationde la vis (sens inverse auxaiguilles d'une montre vue del'entrée) Si erronné, invertirla connexion sur le moteur.

6) Vérifier la présence desprotections au décharge-ment.

7)Vérifier si des substancesexternes ou de l'eau sontentrées dans l'intéreur de lavis. Dans ce cas enlever lecouvercle et la nettoyer.

La première épreuve dedémarrage doit êtreeffectuée à vis vide pourdeux minutes environ. Si toutfonctionne régulièrement,alimenter-la avec dumatériau et procédernormalement.

AVVIAMENTO

Prima di procedere all' avvia-mento definitivo della macchi-na, verificare che siano statecompletamente e corretta-mente eseguite l' installazionee la connessione alle alimen-tazioni esterne, che ripetiamosinteticamente:

1) Prendere visione comple-ta del manuale USO e MA-NUTENZIONE.

2) Verificare il corretto fissag-gio al suolo della macchina.

3) Verificare il corretto funzio-namento delle mandate del-l'acqua di pulizia.

4) Verificare la corretta con-nessione delle alimentazionielettriche e la perfetta chiu-sura delle scatole contenen-ti le connessioni stesse.

5) Verificare il corretto sen-so di rotazione della coclea.

6) Verificare che siano stateinstallate le protezioni allazona di scarico .

7)Verificare se sostanze ester-ne o acqua sono entrate all'in-terno della coclea. Se cosi fos-se, togliere l'eventuale coper-chio e pulire.Dopo, rimontare il tutto.

La prima prova di avviamen-to deve essere fatta a cocleavuota per non oltre due mi-nuti. Se tutto funziona rego-larmente, alimentare con ilmateriale e procedere nor-malmente.

CONTROLLI E VERIFICHEDA EFFETTUARE PRESSOL’ UTILIZZATORE

Per assicurarsi che la mac-china durante il trasporto el’installazione non abbia su-bito danni, eseguire conscrupolo i seguenti controlli:

Macchina NON funzionan-te:

- Verificare la presenza e laintegrità delle targhe di peri-colo e di avvertenza.

Macchina IN funzione:

- Controllare l’ efficienza e laintegrità di tutte le protezionie dei dispositivi di sicurezza.

- Controllare la temperaturadi regime dei vari componen-ti. Non devono riscaldarsi inmodo eccessivo;

- Lasciare funzionare a vuo-to la macchina per alcuniminuti (2’ max) senza ma-teriale all’ interno per verifi-care il corretto funzionamen-to di ogni componente.

É sempre preferibile pro-grammare periodicamentegli interventi anziché dovereintervenire in condizioni diemergenza, questo sia perragioni economiche che dicomodità di intervento, cosìda eliminare potenziali arre-sti durante i periodi di massi-ma produzione.

CHECKING AND TESTINGAT USER’S PREMISES

To ensure that the machinehas not been damaged dur-ing transport or installation,carry out the following checkscarefully:

Machine NOT in operation:

- Ensure that the warning andhazard notices are presenton the machine and that theyare in good condition.

Machine IN operation:

- Ensure that all the guardsand safety devices of themachine are intact and inperfect working condition.

- Check the temperature ofthe various componentswhen the machine is running.These must not heat up ex-cessively;

- Let the machine run emptyfor maximum 2 minuteswithout material inside tocheck the correct functioningof each component.

It is advisable to programmaintenance operations in-stead of acting in the eventof an emergency, both foreconomic reasons and asregards convenience, so asto eliminate the risk of pos-sible stops during periods ofmaximum production.

CONTROLES ET VERIFI-CATIONS A EFFECTUERCHEZ L’UTILISATEUR

Pour s’assurer que la ma-chine n’a pas subi de dom-mages pendant le transportet l’installation, exécuteravec soin les contrôles sui-vants:

La machine ARRETEE:

- Vérifier la présence et l’in-tégrité des plaques de dan-ger et de recommandation.

La machine en SERVICE:

- Contrôler l’efficacité et l’in-tégrité de toutes les protec-tions et des dispositifs desécurité.

- Contrôler la température derégime des divers compo-sants. Il ne doivent pass’échauffer excessivement;

- Laisser fonctionner la ma-chine à vide pendant quel-ques minutes (au maxi 2’)sans produit à l’intérieur pourvérifier le fonctionnementcorrect de chaque compo-sant.

Il convient de programmerrégulièrement les interven-tion au lieu d’intervenir enconditions d’émergence, tantpour des raisons économi-ques que de commodité d’in-tervention, afin d’éliminer lesarrêts potentiels pendant lespériodes de production maxi-male.

- Die Maschine maximal 2Minuten ohne Zugabe vonMaterial laufen lassen unddabei alle Bestandteile aufihre korrekte Funktion prü-fen.

Es ist immer besser, einenWartungsplan zu erstellen,anstatt im Notfall eingreifenzu müssen. Produktions-ausfallzeiten lassen sich sominimieren.

CONTROLLI PERIODICI

Il non attenersi strettamentealle seguenti istruzioni puòcausare problemi ed invali-dare la garanzia sulle mac-chine fornite.

Ogni mese, verificare se ilcarico e lo scarico sono libe-ri da residui di materiale; senon lo fosse, ripulireaccuratamente per evitareogni ostruzione al passaggiodi materiale.Verificare lo stato di usura delrivestimento e delle tenute;

Ogni 3 anni, sostituire il ri-vestimento (se si è logorato).

E’ chiaro che la tempistica dilubrificazione e di sostituzio-ne dei pezzi dipende sia del-l’uso della coclea che dal tipodi prodotto trasportato: infat-ti le coclee possono utilizza-re diversi tipi di cuscinetti, diprotezioni, di rivestimento. Inogni caso comunque le ope-razioni da eseguire sono lestesse anche per protezionie rivestimenti diversi.

PERIODIC CHECKS

Failure to follow the mainte-nance instructions may causeproblems and could invalidatethe guarantee.

Once every month, check tosee if inlet or outlet are freeof crusts. if not, clean in or-der to avoid blockages.Check the state of wear ofthe liner and the seals.

Once every three years, re-place the trough liner (if wornout).

The frequency of lubricationand replacement of parts de-pends on the application andon the material conveyed. In-deed, conveyors may comewith different bearings, sealsand liners. The procedure ofparts replacement, however,is always the same.

CONTROLES PERIODI-QUES

Le fait de ne pas observerstrictement les instructionssuivantes peut causer desproblèmes et invalider la ga-rantie sur les machines four-nies.

Chaque mois contrôler qu’iln’y ait pas de résidus de ma-tériau dans les bouches decharge et décharge . S’il lefaut , nettoyer soigneuse-ment afin d’éviter toute obs-truction au passage du ma-tériau.Vérifier l’état d’usure du re-vêtement et des étanchéités.

Tous les 3 ans remplacer lerevêtement (si usuré).

Il est évident que la fréquen-ce de lubrification et de rem-placement des pièces dé-pend de l’utilisation de la viset du type de produit trans-porté. En effet les vis peuventmonter des types différentsde roulements, de protec-tions et de revêtement. Entout cas, les opérations àexécutersont les mêmesaussi pour des protections etdes revêtements différents.

Die Schne-cken können in der Tat in un-terschiedlichen Lagern,Dichtungen und Auskleidun-gen ausgestattet sein. DieVorgehensweise beim Aus-tausch von Teilen jedochimmer dieselbe.

GEAR REDUCER

Gear reduction unit is sup-plied with a first oil filling andare equipped with oil level,outlet and breather plugs.

The lubricant used is of thelong-life type and does notrequire changing.

GETRIEBEEINHEITEN

Verificare periodicamente chenon vi siano perdite di olio.

Le marche di lubrificanti sonoin ordine alfabetico senza al-cun riferimento alla qualità delprodotto.

L'elenco non ricopre tutta lagamma dei lubrificanti: è per-ciò possibile utilizzare altri lu-brificanti purchè abbiano lestesse caratteristiche.
