Happy GRAND-Father’s Day!
MEDICARE
This information was taken from an article published in FLORIDA
TODAY. – written by. Steven Podnos
If you are thinking about applying: Begin three months prior to your
65th birthday and extending until three months after you birthday
month, you have the opportunity to enroll in the various parts of
Medicare without penalty. Everyone should do this except for the
rare individuals still working and receiving generous health care
coverage among their benefits.
There are four classes of Medicare coverage.
Part A covers hospital care, a limited amount of home health care and
post-hospital rehabilitation stays, and hospice. It has no cost or
premiums.
Part B pays primarily for physicians’ fees and is subject to many co-
pays and deductibles
Part C is essentially a Medicare plan sponsored by an insurance
company that covers both Part A and Part B expenses, often also with
some other limited benefits (some drug coverage, sometimes dental
and/or vision coverage). But, you must use the Medicare C plans’
providers and hospitals, and must follow other limitation of the plan.
Part D is a Medicare drug coverage plan.
Go to Medicare.gov web site for more information.
IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD!
"What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in
abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort,
lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies." ~ Rudolph Giuliani
And A Special Thanks To: Memaw’s Restaurants, Parrish
Senior Center and Club
Esteem who provide meeting
space for our monthly support
meetings. Our community
partners who work by side
with us to create a better world
for children and families.
Thanks too to our faithful
volunteers and donors across
the county.
