Detroit Promise Zone

Scholarship Detroit high school students will now be

guaranteed two years of free tuition at five

community colleges in metro Detroit. This

commitment was made possible through the

Detroit Promise, an authority that Mayor

Duggan and the Detroit City Council created

to dedicate a portion of tax dollars to

permanently fund two-year scholarships.

The program is available to current high

school seniors who live in Detroit and have

spent their junior and senior years at a high

school in the city. The program would also

not have been possible without the help of

the Detroit Regional Chamber of

Commerce. For more information, go to

www.detroitscholarshipfund.org.
