The GreenWay is a 5.8km environmental and active travel corridor linking the Parramatta River at Iron Cove with the Cooks River at Earlwood. Following the route of the Inner West Light Rail, the GreenWay features bike paths and foreshore walks, cultural and historical sites, cafes, bushcare sites and a range of parks, playgrounds and sporting facilities. GREENWAY MISSING LINKS UPDATE October 2017 GreenWay Missing Links funding secured The inner west community and local councils have been campaigning for over 10 years to complete the GreenWay. The NSW Government and the new Inner West Council have announced a joint commitment of $14.5 million towards the cost of completing the GreenWay Missing Links. This will unlock approximately 3ha of open space not currently accessible to the community. GreenWay Missing Links Master Plan Concurrent with the design of some of the key Missing Links, Council is developing a Master Plan for the whole 5.8km GreenWay corridor. The GreenWay Missing Links Master Plan will guide the delivery of landscaping and infrastructure within the GreenWay corridor over the next 10 years. Have your say Inner West Council is now inviting community input about the design of the missing links and how best to use the unlocked and existing open space in the GreenWay corridor. The feedback provided by the community will build on other work and community engagement over the past 10 years to inform the development of the GreenWay Missing Links Master Plan.
