The Greenwald Teacher Scholarship offers a $5000 award

Eligibility: Must be a teacher candidate in one of the teacher preparation programs Undergraduate or graduate student Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4 Demonstrated financial need

Please submit two letters of recommendation, and a copy of your academic record (an unofficial copy from my.uic.edu is accept-able). In addition, please write an essay about your financial need for funding, your commitment to the College of Education mis-sion, and how your educational path has influenced your choice to become a teacher in urban schools. Please write your essay on a separate page, and include with this application. It should be no longer than 500 words. The deadline for submission is May 15.
