Commercial Footprinting
• May 2009 SMUD released Commercial Carbon Calculator RFP
• Goal to provide a calculator between the residential level and full inventory process for our commercial customers
• Tool will calculate emissions from electricity, natural gas, fleet, flights, etc.

Summary
• Significant physical and regulatory impacts at the local level due to climate change
• Successful response will require educated, engaged population, coordinated actions from key local agencies
• SMUD is addressing the issue on as many fronts as possible
• The utility plays a critical role in both our relationship with local governments, and with our citizens and businesses
