General NotesNothing set forth in these Drawings shall release any Contractor from responsibility to provideappropriate quantities, field measurements, dimensional stability, installation, anchorage andcoordination with other trades, or waive the Contractor's responsibility to identify and resolvedeviations from the requirements of the Contract Documents, or waive the Contractor'sresponsibility to alert the Architect to errors or omissions contained therein.Each Contractor shall verify in the field all existing applicable conditions and dimensions shown onthe Drawings and as pertinent to the intent of these Drawings. Any discrepancy discovered shall bebrought to the attention of the Architect prior to the commencement of any Work affected by, orrelated to, such discrepancy.Each Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with, or caused by failure to complywith requirement.Each Contractor shall review in advance all portions of the Work to verify that the Work will notprohibit completion of the Project as intended in these Contract Documents. Each Contractor shall refer to the Project Manual for cleaning and disposal requirements.Each Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of all surfaces and finishes at interior andexterior of building. Damaged surfaces and finishes resulting from the performance of the Workshall be repaired at no cost to the Owner by the responsible Contractor to match existing to thesatisfaction of the Owner.Each Contractor shall coordinate respective cutting and patching Work with the other PrimeContracts.Each Contractor shall become completely familiar with all aspects of the Work, even those areasdesignated to be provided by others. This familiarization includes full and complete understandingof the Work described on all Sheets of the Drawings and in all Sections of the Project Manual.Failure by the Contractor to become completely familiar and cognizant of all aspects of the Workshall not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility to provide materials, assemblies, or servicesindicated in the Contract Documents.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

New Transportation Center for Greencastle Community School Corporation.This project consist of two new buildings for the Greencastle Community SchoolCorporation's Transportation use.The first building is an 8000 square foot single-story transportation/bus maintenancebuilding and office. It consists of reception, offices, driver's lounge, restrooms andstorage for the school transportation department. It also has a four-bay work area forthe maintenance and repair of the district's school buses and vehicles.The second building is a 29,700 square foot bus storage building. It has 36 busbays to house all of the school district's buses and service vehicles. This building isdivided into six spaces with 2-hour fire barriers, thus each space is less than 5,000 sf.This building is used for the storage of the vehicles and no work will be performed here.

These building are mainly used by the staff and drivers of Greencastle CommunitySchools and not a public use facility.
