Brodosplit developed the design of chemical tankers with various deadweight for a longer period of time, and moreover some of them have been declared as “significant ships”. However, we decided to develop a new project of dual fuel chemical tanker, emphasizing the environmentally friendly approach and fuel efficiency.

The Vessel and its equipment are suitable for transportation of chemicals and oil products in accordance with IMO Ship Type 2 and 3 in 26 segregated tanks plus residue tanks on deck.

All cargo and slop tanks are made of duplex stainless steel, equipped individually with submerged cargo pump of next generation: optimized, eco-friendly, high efficency, energy-saving, non-noise type; manufactured by Brodosplit Diesel Engine Factory with STX licence.

Main engineMAN-B&W 5G50ME-C9.5-GI-TII SMCR = 6,125 kW at 91 RPM manufactured by Brodosplit Diesel Engine Factory with MAN licence.Low speed 2 stroke “dual fuel” (LNG/HFO) engine with superb efficiency, extra low consumption, low maintenance costs and longer life span.

Highly optimized & competitive hull shape

14.0 knots at NCR consuming 18.6 tons/day HFO based on the continuous service rating (CSR) of 4,900 kW and LCV of 42,700 kJ/kg and 15.2 tons/day LNG based on continuous service rating (CSR) of 4,900 kW and LCV of 49,500 kJ/kg.

Capacity of HFO tanks will be for cruising range of abt. 14,000 NM.

Capacity of LNG tanks will be for cruising range of abt. 10,800 NM.

Cargo tanks are made of stainless steel (duplex) type EN 1.4462.

All cargo tanks hatches, pipes, valves, cargo pumps and other equipment in contact with cargo are made of stainless steel AISI 316 L.

Cargo tanks heating system consists of primary and secondary circuits:

secondary circuits consist of “hot water system & termal oil system”, with double loop heating coils

“hot water system” is intended for heating of all 26 cargo tanks

“thermal oil system” is intended for additional heating of cargo tanks 7-9 in accordance with the specific cargo requirements

All cargo and slop tanks are equipped with radar beam level measuring system.

Effective cargo tank washing is ensured by completely flush tanks and high efficiency washing machines.

Ballast system consists of ballast tanks arranged in double sides and double bottoms, which facilitate safe and effective ballast water exchange using: two (2) pumps, each of 500 m3/h; stripping educator of 150 m3/h; and ballast water treatment system.

Access for inspection is ensured by complete double hull configuration according to the latest IMO requirements.
