CEO Message
Over the next few weeks at Great Ocean Road Health, we
will be finalising our response to the National Safety and
Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards accreditation at
both Lorne and Apollo Bay. We will be accredited against
many standards in health care, to ensure we are providing
safe and high quality health care.
We will be visited by assessors in the first week of June,
who will assess how we are doing against 10 standards
which have been developed to detail the care we are
required to deliver.
Although our workload is high at present with COVID
vaccination, we are excited to be accredited, as we are able
to showcase the great work we do and received some
feedback on what we could improve upon.
Vaccine supply is still a week to week prospect. Apologies
to those who haven’t got an appointment for a COVID
vaccination yet. We will be opening another clinic as soon
as we have vaccines in the fridge!
Thank you for your feedback regarding the vaccination
process, we are trying to streamline the process as much as
possible. Your comments are very much appreciated.
Thank You,
Sandy Chamberlin.
Thank You
On Wednesday 12 May, our healthcare staff celebrated
International Nurses Day. This was a fantastic opportunity
to thank all of our healthcare staff for their hard work and
commitment during the pandemic but to recognise the
important role of our nursing staff each and every day of
the year. They put themselves on the frontline and work
tirelessly to keep the community safe and supported.
