Your love empowersThanks to your support more neighbors are being the change they want to see in their own neighborhood. This year 12 Tepe Park residents were awarded a total of $7,900 to implement projects that improve the quality of life for their neighbors. Some of their projects include:

• Neighborhood little libraries • Tree planting initiative within the neighborhood • 5-foot tall tree sculpture • Plant-and-pick flower garden with yard art • After-school youth program

Look at the 2018 and 2019 award night photos. You can easily see the growth in resident engagement. There was a 140% increase in participation!

This level of growth is a testament to supporters like you. You are meeting neighbors where they are – in their homes and neighborhood. And you are helping us build genuine relationships that are vital for a movement of positive change led by neighbors. Thank you!

One of the richest blessings in my life has been to watch the launch and growth of Community One’s incredible mission and ministry. When you see God at work in something, and it is undeniable, you cannot resist helping. Community One is making our city better one person, one project, one neighborhood at a time spiritually and physically. I am so grateful to be able to serve as a board member and financial supporter. Love Your Neighbor. Simple phrase, profound potential, and following Jesus’s command. It is so easy to be connected with this fine organization!

– Tom Slade, Slade Print & Community One Board Member

The vision of Welborn Baptist Foundation is “creating communities that flourish with the well-being, abundance and peace that God desires.” As a funder, we look for organizations that we can partner alongside to see this mission “lived out.” Community One, specifically their neighborhood work in Tepe Park, is strategically working alongside residents, churches, businesses, and the community as a whole to bring revitalization which contributes towards a stronger community. We are encouraged by the work they do and are excited to see what the future holds.
