Form of the module (MSc level)

• Students form a research team, the participants are the project leader of the assignment

• The team’s objective is to design an analytical framework for innovations in ICT-infrastructures

• By following the Grounded Theory approach• Which entails the analysis of empirical case studies

such as the Galileo project, P2P applications (Tribler), IPv6, FttH, Skype, Wimax, DAKnet, etc.

• Platform for cooperation is a wiki

Peer feedback, review & evaluation

• Peer feedback: the students write a communal report (on a wiki) and provide peer feedback on parts of it

• Peer review: the students write an individual scientific article and a peer review of each other’s concepts

• Peer evaluation: the students fill in peer evaluation modules via the Scorion tool: individual and team assessment

• Self evaluation: students reflect upon their Belbin role during the research project and at the end of it

Peer evaluation with ScorionThree parts:1.Standard individual assessment on Job performance, Attitude, Leadership, Management of Resources and Communication;2.Team evaluation on

1. Targets, composition & leadership2. Structure, culture & power3. Tasks and group process4. Reaching individual and common results

3.Individual reflection based on Belbin role

Please reflect on your participation in the design team: were you able to contribute to the team according to your dominant/primacy Belbin-role?If yes: explain how and why.If not: what is the reason for this and what would you do differently next time?
