Assignment

Picture analysis:Point, Line, Plane

- Find 5 posters (or advertisements) that you like.

- Make a visual analysis of the picture’s focus points,

direction lines and visual planes (all you can find).

- Write down your analysis in 100 + words describing

what you see, what’s going on in the picture, down to

the smallest detail you can see.

- Prepare a document (Word, InDesign, etc) with your

images and analysis (one item per page). Save/export

your document as a PDF file and email it to me before

PointEr zijn 3 aandachtspunten in deze poster, primair aandachtspunt is de gele ‘Lightcycle’ (kleurcontrast) en secundaire de grote ‘N’ rechtsboven en 2 ‘Recognizers’ linksboven.

LineEr zijn 2 duidelijke diagonale lijnen die wat links van het midden van de poster elkaar kruisen.

PlaneEr zijn 2 vlakken die duidelijk door het blauwe kader in de poster te onderscheiden zijn: achtergrond en illustratie. Verder zijn er in de illustratie zelf nog 2 vlakken, de paarse achtergrond in de verte en de ‘Game Grid’ voor, waar alle illustraties aan gekoppeld zijn.

CompositionIn de poster wordt gebruik gemaakt van primaire kleuren. De aandacht in deze poster ligt in het midden van het beeld en wordt door kleurcontrast benadrukt. De diagonale (isometrische) lijnen van de illustratie ondersteunen dit effect en zorgen ook voor een gevoel van diepte.
