Grand Opening Event

at the Laguna Niguel Ritz Carlton Hotel

Pavilion Room

I will be hosting the grand opening event for Inspired Events by

Camille at the Ritz Carlton Pavilion room. My goal is for brides and

vendors to see our company plan and execute a beautiful and

enjoyable event.

Anticipation

To reach my target audience of local vendors and potential clients, I

will be sending handwritten invitations for the grand opening. I will

also use my facebook page, the Ritz Carlton's facebook page and

website, and twitter to promote the grand opening event. After

vendors have confirmed their attendance, I will ask if I can promote

the event through their social media sites as well to reach more

potential clients.

Arrival

As guests arrive, they will walk into the pavilion doors to the guest

book table where they will sign in. The table will incorporate the

same centerpieces as the larger tables, in addition to orchid pedals

spread around the center (done by Sweet Pea Flowers). My bio and

mission statement will be enlarged and displayed on a decorative

easel (my bio is on page 8). There will be a big "Inspired Events

Grand Opening" banner above the pavilion doors, and small signs in

the Ritz Carlton hotel directing guests where to go. I will be greeting

guests as they come in.

Atmosphere

The pavilion room will have rectangular tables set up with ivory linens

and orchid/candle table arrangements, designed and set up by our

preferred vendor, Sweet Pea Flowers. The chairs will be silver to offset

the ivory tables. There will be orchid arrangements on the guest

book table, and anywhere else we can put them. The room has a

beautiful chandelier and an amazing view of the ocean, so the

decor for the event will be simple. We are striving to give the venue

a romantic, elegant feel and accent the already beautiful decor

and views.

Appetite

We will not have a full meal served at our grand opening. We will

have small appetizers prepared by contemporary catering, and I will

provide fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, and beverages.

Cakes to Celebrate will provide mini cupcakes for dessert. Our goal

in having our vendors participate is to show them off to our potential

clients. Attending our grand opening will also allow them to taste test

and possibly hire our vendors for their wedding.

Amusement

Before the event, we will send an email to all guests

attending with details on how to enter our social

media contest. Those who "like" and "share" Inspired

Events by Camille's facebook page will enter in a

drawing for 50% off services from us. We will

announce the winner at the beginning of the event.

During our grand opening, we will have one of our vendors, Still

Listening Productions, DJ and perform a few live songs. We will also

have a small raffle for our guests to try to win free or discounted

services from participating vendors.

We will also have a presentation of DIY centerpieces, lace

envelopes and invitations, and inexpensive Mason jar decorations.

Appreciation

All guests will take home a gift bag with filled with: our business card,

our brochure, Contemporary Catering and Cakes to Celebrate

coupons, a notepad, a pen, a candle, Hershey's hugs and kisses,

and a ring keychain. After the grand opening, I will send hand

written thank you cards to all in attendance to make sure they feel

welcomed and appreciated.

Inspired Events Holds Grand Opening at the Ritz

Laguna Niguel, Calif.— Local wedding planner is launching her business, Inspired Events by

Camille, in a grand opening event in the Pavilion room at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on Dec. 1 .

Vendors and brides will attend to celebrate the opening of the business.

Camille Burley is a 22 year-old Washington State native currently living in Laguna Niguel,

California. In 2011, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Central

Washington University and received her certificate in wedding planning in 2012.

Moving around the country in the last year provided Camille with an opportunity to pursue her

interest in event and wedding planning. In winter of 2012, she received her wedding planning

certification from The Wedding Planning Institute (WPI).

“After planning our beautiful, low budget wedding successfully, I knew I wanted to help other

couples do the same. With a degree in Public Relations, I felt I already had experience going into

the event-planning field. My two previous jobs were “event based” jobs and I enjoyed work so

much that I would forget that it is work. WPI has given me all the tools I need to be a successful

wedding planner, and opening my own wedding planning business only felt natural after I

completed my course. I want to plan amazing weddings for engaged couples and be a part of the

memories that last a lifetime.

Bio

Camille Burley is a 22 year-old Washington State native

currently living in Laguna Niguel, California. She recently

celebrated her first anniversary with her husband who is a

Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton. They share their

home with their rescue dog, Lucy Lu, and have enjoyed

moving around the country as a family the past year.

Camille graduated from Tahoma High School in 2008 and

earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations

from Central Washington University in 2011 with a

certificate in professional writing. During college, she

interned at a local Seattle radio station, KMTT 103.7 The Mountain, and helped

with their concerts and in studio events, public relations, and social media.

After college, Camille worked for the Ellensburg Rodeo, one of the biggest

PRCA events in the country. Working for the Rodeo, she had several press

releases published in the local newspaper, The Daily Record. She also created

programs, newsletters and had hands on event planning experience at an

event nearly 30,000 attend every Labor Day weekend.

Moving around so much in the last year provided Camille with an opportunity to

pursue her interest in event and wedding planning. In winter of 2012, she

received her wedding planning certification from The Wedding Planning

In her spare time, Camille likes to scrapbook, craft, practice her photography,

blog, cook and workout. She and her husband like to explore around the new

places they live and enjoy being outdoors with their dog.

day you are engaged to the last minute of your

wedding day. Inspired Events will take care of

everything so you can enjoy each other and your
