Matt & Jessy Scott

It’s good to see some of our younger members taking an

active part in their Aerie. Matt & Jessy have taken a Ham-burger Night every month.

Jessy has been selling Star Wars Plates on E-Bay to

benefit the Aerie. Good job!! Keep up the good

work.

of the Monthof the Month

Aerie & Auxiliary Members

It takes ALL of us to make things work around here. Each one has a different

talent or skill to contribute, even if you just come out to

support our meals & activities. We need and appreciate whatever you do. Give

yourselves a pat on the back.

Auxiliary President’s Message

Well this is my last month as your Auxiliary President. I want to thank everyone for all your help and support, be it chairing a month, letting me unload and blow off steam, the encouraging words, it was all appreciated very much. I ask that each of you continue to support the new officers, both Aerie and Auxiliary in the coming years. We only keep moving forward by each of us stepping up and helping in amyway we can, and believe me, every little thing will be appreciated. The Aerie members continue to do a good job raising funds to keep us above water. Thanks Brothers, GREAT JOB. Remember keep on smiling and enjoy every minute of your life.

See you at the Eagles and keep on smiling.

Becky Smith, Auxiliary President

Aerie President’s Message

Dear brothers and sisters with the weather getting so nice it’s time to get outside and enjoy the patio. “Let’s think horseshoes!” Thanks to our monthly chairmen for April, Mike & Jaye Baugh. The Easter breakfast was a big success, so much fun to watch the kids faces light up for the Easter Bunny. A big thank you to Roger Martin for being a good sport and helping out. The kids were thrilled. The freezer & meat raffle will be on May 30th, so buy your tickets soon.

David Williamson, Worthy President

J.O.E. President’s Message

I would like to explain a little about what the Junior Eagles are about. We are kids helping kids. The current charity we are raising money for is Kids with Diabetes and Cancer. We have served a few meals

and given away a few raffles. I would like to thank all of the Eagles and non-members for supporting the Junior Eagles in all that we do. Look for upcoming Junior Eagle Events that will be happening.

Eagles Aerie 595 teams up with the Corporation for National and Community Service and Points of Light as a certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award

recognizing our member volunteerism.

The President's Volunteer Service Award

The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging

citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition. Presidential rec-

ognition sets you apart from your peers. It is a tremendous honor. Even though you may not seek recog-

nition, your example can deliver a powerful message that encourages others to take action. The Presi-

dent’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted, permanent resi-

dents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month

time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime. PVSA is an initiative of the Corporation for

National and Community Service (CNCS) and is administered by Points of Light. With a shared mission

of inspiring more to answer the call to service, PVSA celebrates the impact we can all make in bettering

our communities and our world. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize

each milestone of your service achievement. Levels include bronze, silver, gold and the highest honor,

the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for those who contribute more than 4,000 hours of service

in their lifetime.

Interested in participating? Look for flyers around the Aerie or contact Gabe DeGabriele
