Student Teacher Dialogue (2)

5. Teacher: The thing to remember is that it usualy means inside a place.

6. Student: I see that, but I don’t understand what is the difference betweenin and into.

7. Teacher: Wheas “in” means that you are there, inside, “into” means thatyou are entering a place.

8. Student: There is another problem. I don’t understand why there are somany words that sound the same, but mean two different things.

9. Teacher: It is a good question, but there’s no easy answer to that. You willjust have to learn them one by one.
