PROGRAM OF RESEARCH The cognitive difficulties experienced by older adults resulting from their aging human brain is my research emphasis. Senior WISE, an efficacy-based treatment was developed and tested to treat adults worried about subjective and objective memory loss and improve their memory performance, memory self-efficacy and instrumental activities of daily living. The evidence-based treatment funded with over $6 million of NIH competitive awards was designated as an Edge Runner by the American Academy Nursing and received the Mind Alert Award from the American Society on Aging and MetLife Foundation.
