Choosing a career is one of those momentous decisions that can change the course of your life. Such an important decision deserves considerable time and introspection. Ample information and self-examination can help you choose a satisfying career that you will enjoy for years to come. One - Evaluate Your Work Style The right career for you will be suited to your work style. Are you a self-starter who accomplishes goals on your own, or do you need the discipline of a structured work environment to do your best? An honest evaluation of your work style will help you decide whether a career where you work independently is right for you. If you're naturally a daydreamer or a procrastinator, you may do well in a career where a supervisor help you stay on task. Two - Know Your Talents Do you have a hobby or a talent that you love and are good at? Think of ways to transform activities that come naturally to you into a career. Working with wood, playing an instrument or trying different hair styles can lead to careers as a custom furniture marker, a musician or a hair stylist. Doing what you love can lead to a rewarding career. Three - Set Financial Goals One of your goals should be to choose a career where you can earn enough money to meet your financial goals. If you want to own a vacation home on every continent and fly to these homes on your private jet, a career as a retail clerk will probably not help you achieve your goals. You may have to make some compromises along the way, but generally speaking, the career you choose should allow you to meet your financial goals. Four - Do the Math before Going Back to School Before you pay -- or, worse, borrow money -- for college or graduate school, make sure the career you choose is worth the expense. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, the cost of an undergraduate college education rose 25 to 37 percent between 2000 and 2010. If you need to go back to school to qualify for your dream job, look into programs that repay your student loans if you work in a public service position for a few years after graduation. Five - Assess Your Social Needs You'll spend one-third of your life with the people you work with, so choose a career that's a good social fit. If you're a loner who doesn't enjoy social interaction, you may be well-suited to a career where you work independently or work from home. If you love to meet new people, you may find a career in sales fulfilling, where you work with the public.

Six - Conduct Informational Interviews A 15-minute informational interview with someone who has a job you think you want can help cement your career choice. Many people will be happy to meet briefly with you to talk about the pros and cons of what they do and tell you whether they would make the same career choice if they could turn back time and choose differently. Start and end the meeting on time, ask probing questions and listen carefully to the answers. Seven - Use Self-Assessment Tools Use do-it-yourself resources to help you narrow your career choices. Take online quizzes to help you assess your aptitude for certain types of work. Review online job descriptions and career information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics to help you understand what the education and training requirements are for different kinds of jobs. Many books and workbooks are also available to guide you through the self-assessment process. Eight - Hire a Career Coach If do-it-yourself tools aren't right for you, a professional career coach can help you measure your aptitude for success in different professions and navigate your transition from the job you have now toward your dream job. If you feel like you're stuck on your current career path, a coach may provide the counsel you need to jump-start the process and move onward and upward toward success.

Nine - Get Real-Life Experience Follow the example of companies that use interns and temps to evaluate an individual before they extend a job offer. Real-life experience in the work environment where you think you want to work can help you make up your mind for certain. Job shadows, internships and temporary assignments give you a realistic view of a day in the life of a profession. Ten - Be Patient Finding the right career is a process, not an event. An entry level position in your field may not be your dream job, but it can give you a foothold on the career ladder you want to climb. It takes time to develop your career, but setting goals and following a plan to achieve them can help you fulfill your career aspirations

I've learned ...That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I've learned .... That when you're in love, it shows. I've learned .... That just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!' makes my day. I've learned .... That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world. I've learned .... That being kind is more important than being right. I've learned .... That you should never say no to a gift from a child. I've learned .... That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way. I've learned .... That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with. I've learned .... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand. I've learned .... That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult. I've learned .... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes. I've learned .... That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for. I've learned .... That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned .... That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular. I've learned .... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved. I've learned .... That to ignore the facts does not change the facts. I've learned .... That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you. I've learned .... That love, not time, heals all wounds. I've learned .... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am. I've learned .... That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.. I've learned .... That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them. I've learned ... That life is tough, but I'm tougher. I've learned .... That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss. I've learned .... That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere. I've learned .... That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed away. I've learned .... That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them. I've learned ..... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. I've learned ..... That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, that you're hooked for life. I've learned .... That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it. I've learned .... That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

Teacher is an effective and dominating factor among the one's contributing to educational improvement which we are trying to achieve after 1947. Indian government emphasized on opening new schools and providing them with adequate infrastructure facilities. Various commissions and committees recommended methods of bringing qualitative improvements. . Several specific characteristics of teacher responsibilities and behaviors that contribute directly to effective teaching are listed for each of the following:

I. THE TEACHER AS A PERSON: The teacher is the representative of the syllabus, subject matter and the school. How a teacher presents himself makes an impression on administrators, colleagues, parents, and students. A teacher's enthusiasm and competence for a content area may transfer those feelings to the students. In addition, how the teacher relates to the pupils has an impact on the student's experience in the class. The teacher's personality is one of the first sets of characteristics to look for in an effective teacher. Aspects of effective teaching can be cultivated, but it is difficult to effect change in an individual's personality.

II. CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION: Well organized classroom with various instructional organizers, such as rules, posted on walls. Books and supplies are organized so that often needed ones are easily accessible. The furniture arrangement and classroom displays often reveal how the teacher uses the space. Once the students enter, the details of a classroom at work are evident. The teacher's plan for the environment, both the organization of the classroom and of students, allows the classroom to run itself amid the buzz of student and teacher interaction.

III. PREPARATION OF ORGANIZING INSTRUCTION IN CLASS.Some teachers plan at home, and some works after school, unit plans with various objectives. Regardless where or how teachers plan and organize for instruction, the evidence of effective work is seen in the classroom.

IV.IMPLEMENTING INSTRUCTIONEffective teaching combines the essence of good classroom management, organization, effective planning, and the teacher's personal characteristics.

V. MONITORING STUDENT PROGRESS AND POTENTIAL An effective teacher who has observed and worked with a student has a sense of the potential that student possesses, encourages the student to excel, and provides the push to motivate the student to make a sustained effort when needed.

VI. PROFESSIONALISM Teachers have been portrayed in a variety of ways in the media, ranging from detrimental images to beloved masters of their craft who inspire students to Excel Effective teachers can be seen, heard, and sensed. The effective teacher engages in dialogue with students, colleagues, parents, and administrators and consistently demonstrates respect, accessibility, and expertise. Effective teachers are easily identified through their adept use of questioning and instruction given in The classroom. Finally, an observer who knows from all sources that this person Truly makes a difference in the classroom can sense the presence of an effective Teacher. The true teacher is a master of teaching.

CONCLUSION :The teacher personality is one of the set of good qualities. Effective teaching combines the good classroom management, organization and accurate planning of teaching and the teacher's personal characteristics. Quality in education is the need of the Society. The quality of the teacher to a large extent depends on the quality of Teachers education. It has come a long way from the tradition of the past to the current focus as 'learning to know', 'learning to do' and 'learning to live together'- as put out by the education of the 21st Century.

A HUMAN MIND is like a Farmer's Land.

Suppose a farmer has some land, and it's good, fertile land. The land gives the farmer a choice. He may plant in that land whatever he chooses. The land is not concerned about this. It's up to the farmer to make the decision. Let us compare the human mind with the land because the mind, like the land, doesn't care what you plant in it.

It will return what you plant, but it doesn't care what you plant.

Now let's say that the farmer has two seeds in his hand –ONE IS A SEED OF CORN,THE OTHER IS NIGHTSHADE, A DEADLY POISON.

He digs two little holes in the earth and he plants both seeds – one corn, the other nightshade.

He covers up the holes, waters and takes care of the land…and what will happen?

Invariably, the land will return what was planted.

The human mind is FAR MORE FERTILE… FAR MORE INCREDIBLE …. FAR MORE MYSTERIOUS than the land, but it works the same way.

We can Plant SUCCESS OR FAILURE. We can Plant CONCRETE GOAL OR CONFUSION. We can Plant LOVE OR MISUNDERSTANDINGS. We can Plant INSPIRATION OR DEPRESSION We can Plant COURAGE OR FEAR We can Plant LOVE FOR HARD WORK OR LOVE FOR

LETHARGY

The human mind is the LAST GREAT UNEXPLORED continent on the earth.

AS YOU SOW SO SHALL YOU REAP
