Photo Session

• Who: A photographer will take a photo

of you and your classmates in your

programme. Students that are not

participating in the Graduation

Ceremony are also welcome to be in the

photo.

• Date: 10 June

• Place: on the stairs inside the main

entrance to the school

• When: afternoon, 13-15. Specific time

for your programme will be emailed to

you.

Graduation Ceremony

Prerequisites for students to take part in the

ceremony:

• Bachelor’s Degree awarded

• Master´s courses completed, i.e. 90 credits

• Thesis seminar completed

• An updated version of the thesis (based on feedback

given at the seminar) submitted to supervisor by

deadline, 3 June

Graduation Ceremony

• 11 June at 15:00

• Lorensbergsteatern, Berzeliigatan 4

• Time schedule:

- 13:30 SHARP Students meet up inside the theatre

- 14:30 Guests are welcome

- 15:00 Graduation Ceremony starts

- 16:30 Mingle

- 17:00 Graduation Day ends

• Dress code: smart casual

Tickets

• 1 ticket for yourself and 2 tickets for guests. I.e. you get in total 3 tickets.

• Friday 5 June 9:00-12:00 – tickets can be picked up from the GS Office at L2. Deadline

12:00!!

• Wednesday 10 June at 12:30-14:30 (during photo session) – not collected tickes will be

available at the GS Office. Left over tickets will be handed out on a ”first come first

served” basis (1 ticket extra only).

The Richard C. Malmsten Award for best thesis 2015

Awarded each year to the best thesis within each Graduate School Master´s Programme.

Given since the start of GBS/GS in 1998.

The award is for 10 000 SEK for each author. The winners are contacted on email 9 June.

Winners are presented at the Graduation Ceremony. There is also a celebration of the winners

on Lorensbergsteatern at 13:30-14:30, exclusively for the Malmsten Foundation, professors

and winners.

Programme certificate of completion /

Degree

• Graduate School – certificate of completion, handed out on Graduation Ceremony

• University of Gothenburg – Official Degree certificate

• Application is made online via the Student Portal

• 6- 8 weeks to receive the degree

• Postal address important!!! Write the address where you will be receiving mail in 6-8 weeks time.

• Ensure you have applied for your Bachelor´s degree and all credit points for your Master´s programme are in Ladok on Web! If you are unsure about transferred credits please contact the student counselling at Graduate School.

• Questions regarding the application is handled by the Office of Degrees.
