Child, Family, and Community Sciences houses programs such as Counselor Education, School Psychology, Exceptional Education and Higher Education and Policy Studies. Programs in Instructional Design and Technology, Methodology, Measurement and Analysis, and Sport and Exercise Science belong to the Educational and Human Sciences department. Be sure to indicate which semester & year you plan to take each class in your program. This is simply a "plan" and not set in stone. Many of our graduate programs will provide you with a template to fill out. Advising ToolsGraduate Plan of Study (GPS) Report

The Graduate Plan of Study (or GPS) Report is your electronic road map to track your progress towards graduation. This report is accessible through your MyUCF portal. Students are encouraged to check their GPS report regularly. The GPS will display courses already completed, courses in progress, and courses that still need to be taken. Advisor notes and other program requirements are also listed on this report to help students keep current with their progress. Need a place to study, research, and work on projects? There are several resources in the college designed with your success in mind!

Kysilka Study: The Graduate Student Study is located in the Education Complex building on the first floor. Included in this study room are 4 desktop computers available on a first come, first served basis. This area is also equipped with a large conference table for group discussion, and various other tables, chairs, and couches for a more informal, quiet place to study. Please stop by the Graduate Affairs front desk in ED 115 for an access code to enter the study.

The Curriculum Materials Center or CMC is located on the first floor of the Education Complex building. A part of the UCF Library system, this resource center provides students in our college access to education related materials. There are also study areas and computer stations. Copies and printing are available for a fee.

The Computing and Statistical Technology Laboratory in Education, or the CASTLE Lab is located in the Teaching Academy, room TA305. This computer lab is available to students and faculty for data analysis. Staffed by Dr. M.H. Clark and Dr. Lihua Xu, students can receive instructional services to include research design development, demonstration of software packages, guidance for processing qualitative data, and some statistical troubleshooting.

. TRAVELING SCHOLARWritten permission is required from your faculty advisor to take courses at other institutions while enrolled in your graduate program. An official transcript must be submitted to the College of Graduate Studies for transfer credit. Only courses with a grade of B- or higher may be transferred into a program of study.UNSATISFACTORY GRADESExceeding 6 semester hours of unsatisfactory grades (C+ and below or unresolved I grades) is reason for dismissal.TRANSFER CREDITSNo more than a total of 9 external semester hours will transfer into your UCF graduate program.

Internal transfer credits may not exceed 50% of the program requirements.GPA REQUIREMENTThe university requires that students maintain a graduate status GPA of at least 3.0 or higher in order to maintain regular graduate student status, receive financial assistance, and qualify for graduation. Intent to Graduate File an online Intent to Graduate form at the beginning of the final semester of course work. Students must be enrolled in the semester during which they intend to graduate. You may have read these already in your official admission email. However, these polices are important and can stand to be repeated. Youll need to be aware of them as you move through your UCF graduate program toward a successful graduation:
