Grading Table for Part-Writing & Figured Bass Assignment
Most commonly seen errors are listed below, classified by a tier system. The scale goes from
grave errors (Tier 1) to more simple digressions from standard part-writing (Tier 4). Tier 1 errors
will (generally, depending on context) result in a loss of 2 points; Tier 2, a loss of 1 point; Tier 3,
0.5 points; and Tier 4, 0.25 points
