Cymbal) 1 � Timpani T he form of Allegro Animato is a variation of the Rondo and consists of a main theme, two subordinate themes and coda�ABACAB coda. The work begins with a statement of the main theme, which is only eight measures in length. The first subordinate theme, at measure 9 , is more lyric in style and is followed by a transition (with fragments of the main theme) leading back to another statement of the main idea at measure 27 . The tempo slows for a more lengthy second subordinate theme at measure 37 which builds and slows toward its climax at measure 65 . Another transition leads to a third statement of the main theme at measure 83 . This is again followed by a statement of the first subordinate theme at measure 93 and a final coda at measure 105 .
