ADDING SUFFIXES

In many of the following words, the base word was changed before the suffix was added: achievable, active, assistant, bragged, chewable, clownish, contributor, floppy, forgetful, friendship, governor, grinning, hidden, introduced, mover, noisy, promising, robber, shaken, shredded, slimmest, wetter, wiser, wreckageFirst work by yourself to decide whether a change was made, and if so, which change was made. Write each word in the column that describes what happened to the base word. Then take turns with your partner to read each word you have written, use it in a sentence, and spell it aloud as your partner checks.
