Durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, Gray Company modifica la sua produzione per contribuire allo sforzo bellico e sviluppa il famoso Convoglio di Lubrificazine per mantenere la lubrificazione di camion, jeep, carri armati e aerei alleati. La prima pompa per vernice introdotta nel 1948 è la Paintmaster, che non richiede più il trasferimento della vernice da un serbatoio pressurizzato prima della spruzzatura.

Per soddisfare la crescente domanda di attrezzi per la lubrificazione, l’azienda amplia la sua linea di prodotti con lubrificatori più grandi e specifici ed è la prima a organizzare una dimostrazione itinerante degli attrezzi e a usare rimorchi pubblicitari.

Gray Company Inc. viene fondata nell’aprile del 1926 dai fratelli Russell e Leil Gray per fabbricare e commercializzare un lubrificatore pneumatico portatile inventato da Russell quando lavorava come parcheggiatore e ingrassatore a Minneapolis.

Nel 1986 Graco è quotata alla Borsa di New York con il simbolo commerciale “GGG”. Nel 1988 viene introdotta la prima pompa completamente in plastica per il trasferimento di liquidi: HuskyTM 715.

Nel 1994 viene aperta la nuova sede europea a Maasmechelen, in Belgio. Gli anni novanta sono un’epoca di crescita economica senza pari, con vendite che arrivano a 450,5 milioni di dollari, a dispetto della recessione economica degli anni precedenti.

Le vendite di Graco arrivano a 50 milioni di dollari nel 1971 e, prima della fine del decennio, raddoppiano a 100 milioni di dollari. Questa crescita viene ottenuta consolidando la posizione nei mercati in cui era già presente ed entrando in mercati nuovi.

Graco entra nel nuovo secolo con molte innovazioni. Nel 2002 viene introdotto il primo dosatore per schiume e poliurea bicomponente. Nel 2002 Graco entra in un nuovo settore lanciando la gamma di prodotti Magnum per il mercato del fai da te.

Nel 2010 viene commercializzata G3, la prima pompa per grasso elettrica, seguita da EasyMax, il primo spruzzatore portatile airless al mondo. Nel 2013 viene lanciato il primo sistema di erogazione Hot Melt senza serbatoio, Invisipac. Le vendite di Graco raggiungono la soglia di 1 miliardo di dollari nel 2013.

Il fluido più comune che tutti conosciamo è l’acqua. Nel mondo Graco la definizione di fluido va però oltre. I fluidi possono contenere particelle e talvolta possono anche essere densi e pastosi. Alcuni elementi nei fluidi possono reagire in modo diverso al caldo, al freddo o alla pressione. Certi altri devono essere miscelati prima dell’applicazione in proporzioni molto precise. In ogni caso, tutti devono essere gestiti con attenzione. MovimentoSe devi sollevare un fluido in senso contrario alla gravità, oppure posizionare alcune gocce esattamente in un punto, gli attrezzi Graco sono la scelta giusta. Lavorano a pressioni da 1 a 500 bar per portare il fluido esattamente dove ti serve. Alcuni materiali non sempre sono puri e filtrati, ma i nostri attrezzi possono trasferire particelle con un diametro di 63 mm. Altrimenti come si potrebbero spostare le polpette con il sugo di pomodoro da grossi contenitori alle lattine sugli scaffali del supermercato?

MisurazioneDevi sapere quanta pressione esercita una pompa su un liquido oppure quanti litri sono stati pompati in un certo periodo? Controlli visibili su misuratori o connessioni on-line ti danno la sicurezza di non perdere nulla e di ricevere rapporti quando necessario, aumentando l’efficienza e il profitto dei processi produttivi e fornendo dati esatti da riferire anche ai tuoi clienti.

MiscelazioneCon un rivestimento uniforme di pittura, o uno strato liscio di vernice, si ottiene una finitura di alta qualità. Graco offre un’ampia gamma di opzioni. Tu vuoi che quella turbina eolica o quel camion per l’industria mineraria rimangano sempre lubrificati, e che quel fusto di passata di pomodoro venga scaricato alla massima velocità per alimentare la tua linea di produzione in modo efficiente. I liquidi possono essere costosi, quindi non vogliamo che ne sprechi neanche un po’.

Le lavorazioni secondo procedure di igiene sono processi industriali igienici in cui i prodotti alimentari o per l’igiene personale vengono preparati per il consumo a partire da materie prime. Durante il processo di fabbricazione, Graco si concentra sul trasporto di liquidi di varie viscosità.

L’uso collanti permette di unire due pezzi di lavorazione in modo fisso usando un materiale liquido o semiliquido per creare un’aderenza a lunga durata. In un ambiente ad alto volume di produzione, l’adesivo in genere viene applicato usando un apposito attrezzo. Gli adesivi possono essere erogati in un cordolo continuo o a punti usando un attrezzo automatizzato, oppure applicati manualmente usando un sistema con una pistola manuale alimentata da un tubo.

La sigillatura è il processo di chiusura e fissaggio di una parte o di un gruppo con un adesivo a prova di fluidi e aria.

Una guarnizione è una sigillatura che colma uno spazio tra due oggetti, generalmente per evitare perdite di gas o liquidi tra le due parti. Le guarnizioni possono essere realizzate in materiali come feltro o gomma, ma possono essere anche prodotte con cordoli di silicone o poliuretano. Un rivestimento protettivo è una vernice o un rivestimento definito dalle sue caratteristiche protettive più che da quelle estetiche, sebbene le due si possano combinare. La plastica rinforzata con fibra (Fiber-reinforced plastic, FRP) è un materiale composito costituito da una matrice polimerica rinforzata con fibre.

L’attrezzatura per composti Graco spruzza in uno stampo un sottile strato di rivestimento in gel, che contiene l’effettiva finitura del composto. Quindi viene collocato uno strato più spesso di fibra di vetro, per rafforzare il composto. Con un processo di laminazione, l’aria viene estratta e, dopo l’asciugatura, il composto viene rimosso dallo stampo, creando così la forma desiderata.

Un altra tecnologia usata per fabbricare materiali compositi è la pultrusione. “Pultrusione” deriva dal termine inglese “pultrusion”, che è la combinazione di due parole, “pull” (tirare) ed “extrusion” (estrusione). L’estrusione si verifica quando il materiale viene spinto attraverso uno stampo. La pultrusione è il processo con cui composti grezzi come fibra di vetro e resina vengono “tirati” facendoli passare attraverso uno stampo riscaldato, creando così un profilo di composto continuo.

Il processo di pultrusione inizia con rotoli di fibra di vetro. Questa fibra grezza viene guidata attraverso un bagno di resina. Le fibre si impregnano completamente della miscela di resina. Il materiale composito non solidificato viene ora guidato attraverso una serie di utensili personalizzati, che aiutano a sistemare e organizzare la fibra nella forma corretta, mentre la resina in eccesso viene eliminata. Nell’ultima fase, il composto passa attraverso uno stampo in acciaio riscaldato. Il profilo che ne esce è un composto pultruso polimerico fibrorinforzato (Fiber Reinforced Polymer, FRP) solidificato.

Uno spruzzatore airless semplifica l’imbiancatura in due modi: prima di tutto, se si vuole velocizzare un lavoro che richiede diversi litri di vernice, questa può essere applicata molto più rapidamente che con un rullo o un pennello; in secondo luogo, se si vuole una finitura liscia su oggetti in legno o porte, uno spruzzatore airless è in grado di applicare la vernice in modo uniforme. During World War II, Gray Company turned its production to helping the war effort and developed the famous Convoy Luber to keep the allied trucks, jeeps, tanks and aircraft lubricated. The first paint pump introduced in 1948 was the Paintmaster. It eliminated the need to transfer paint to a pressure tank before spraying.

To meet the growing demand for more lubrication equipment, the company expanded its product line to include larger, more specialized lubricators and pioneered a travelling equipment display and demonstration trailer.

Gray Company Inc. was established in April 1926 by the brothers Russell and Leil Gray to manufacture and market an air-powered, portable lubricator which Russell had invented while working as a parking lot attendant and greaser in Minneapolis.

In 1986, Graco listed its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the trading symbol ‘GGG’. The first all-plastic pump for liquid transfer application HuskyTM 715 was introduced in 1988.

It handles pressures from 1 to 500 bars to get the fluid just where you need it. Some materials are not always pure and filtered, but our equipment can transfer particles with a 63 mm diameter. Sanitary processing is an industrial hygienic process in which food or personal care products are prepared for consumption from raw ingredients. During this manufacturing process, Graco focuses on the transportation of liquids of varying viscosities.

Virtually every product assembled requires bonding or sealing at some stage of the process. Graco offers manual and automated technologies for single-component and two-component bonding and sealing for a broad array of products, markets and applications.

Adhesive bonding is the process of joining two work pieces securely by using a liquid or semi-liquid material to create a long-lasting bond. In a high-volume manufacturing environment, adhesive is usually applied using specialized application equipment. Adhesives can be dispensed in a continuous bead or dots using automation equipment, or applied manually using a hose-fed hand-gun system.

Sealing is the process of closing or securing a part or assembly with a fluid-tight, air-tight adhesive.

A gasket is a seal that fills a space between two objects, usually to prevent a gas or liquid from leaking between the two parts. Gaskets can be made from materials such as felt or rubber, but can also be produced with beads of silicone or polyurethane. Liquid gasketing is a popular and cost-effective way to replace molded, die-cut and other types of gaskets in automotive and other applications.

Graco lubricates your equipment automatically so you can stay focused on your job

Whether the equipment is stationary, like in manufacturing facilities, or mobile, like in trucks, mining or construction equipment, lubricant is most effective when dispensed in controlled amounts at frequent intervals.

For a number of reasons, such as time and human resource constraints, or the physical location or the type of machine, regular manual lubrication is often difficult to achieve. Often the intervals at which machines are lubricated, are based on production cycles, manpower availability and accuracy.

The optimal way of lubrication is automatic lubrication. Graco provides auto lube systems delivering a controlled amount of lubricant (either grease or oil) to multiple, specific locations on a machine while the machine is operating. A centralized automatic lubrication system generally consists of a controller, a pump with reservoir and lubrication dispensers.

When a liquid is pumped from A to B, we call this fluid transfer and circulation. For most applications, we use membrane pumps which can be configured to meet the specific needs of the liquid to transfer and the specific project requirements. Fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) is a composite material made of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers.

Graco’s composite equipment sprays a thin layer of gel coating containing the actual finishing layer of the composite into a mold. The next layer is a thicker layer of fiber glass to strengthen the composite. With a laminating process, the air is extracted and after drying the composite is removed from the mold, creating the form that you want!

Another technology used to manufacture composite material is pultrusion. The term pultrusion combines the words, “pull” and “extrusion”. Extrusion is the pushing of material through a shaped die. Pultrusion is the process of “pulling” raw composites such as fiberglass and resin through a heated die creating a continuous composite profile.

The pultrusion process starts with rolls of fiberglass. This raw fiber is guided through a resin bath. The fibers are thoroughly saturated with the resin mixture. The uncured composite material is now guided through a series of tooling. This custom tooling helps arrange and organize the fiber into the correct shape, while excess resin is squeezed out. At the last stage, the composite passes through a heated steel die. The profile that exits the die is a cured pultruded Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite.

An airless sprayer simplifies painting in two ways: first, if you want to speed up a job requiring several liters of paint, you can apply it a lot quicker than with a roller or brush. And second, if you want a smooth finish on woodwork or doors, an airless sprayer can apply the paint flawlessly. An airless sprayer works by pumping paint through a hose and out of a tiny hole in the spray gun tip at very high pressure. The tip is designed to push the paint out into a fan-shaped spray pattern of tiny droplets. Using different tips, you can spray thin liquids like stains, lacquers and varnishes or thicker liquids like latex house paint. You can use an airless sprayer to apply a perfectly smooth finish on doors, cabinets and woodwork. And since an airless sprayer pumps paint straight from a can or bucket, you can apply a lot of material in a short time. This makes an airless sprayer particularly well suited to large paint jobs such as priming bare drywall in a new house or painting a long fence.

Vapor abrasive blasting is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of wet abrasive material like sand, crushed glass or other types of media against a surface under high pressure to remove surface contaminants. Graco colours the Amazon region just a little bit greenerWhat the outside world does notice, is the support that Graco gives to a sustainable development project in close cooperation with Bos+ and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Graco sponsors the Shipibo indigenous community of Junin Pablo, a village in the Peruvian Amazon. The rain forest is their life because it gives them all they need for a living: agriculture, fishing and forestry. The Shipibo people cut down forest trees to build their own homes and boats, but also to sell. With Graco's help, Junin Pablo now has appropriate machinery and trainings, an annual felling plan for carrying out sustainable forest management, the necessary and adjusted storage facilities for timber and a village timber committee that supervises the implementation of sustainable planning.

Graco supports the FSC certification project of community forest in the Peruvian Amazon, administered by Bosplus. The FSC label guarantees the environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. Graco’s products are not FSC labelled, but support the FSC Forest certification with certificate holder GFA-FM/COC-001288.

Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs unterstützte Gray Company mit seiner Produktion die Kriegsanstrengungen und entwickelte den berühmten Konvoi Luber, um die alliierten Lastkraftwagen, Jeeps, Panzer und Luftfahrzeuge mit Schmiermittel zu versorgen. Die erste im Jahr 1948 eingeführte Farbpumpe hieß Paintmaster. Sie machte das Umfüllen von Farbe in einen Druckbehälter vor dem Spritzen überflüssig.

Um die steigende Nachfrage nach Schmiersystemen zu decken, erweiterte das Unternehmen seine Produktlinie um größere und spezialisiertere Schmiervorrichtungen und leistete mit einem mobilen Anhänger zur Ausstellung und Vorführung von Geräten Pionierarbeit.

Gray Company Inc. wurde im April 1926 von den Brüdern Russell und Leil Gray gegründet, um eine druckluftbetriebene, transportierbare Schmiervorrichtung herzustellen und zu vermarkten, die Russell während seiner Arbeit als Parkplatzwächter und Schmierer in Minneapolis erfunden hatte.

Im Jahr 1986 wurden die Stammaktien von Graco an der New Yorker Börse unter dem Börsenkürzel „GGG“ notiert. Die erste Vollkunststoffpumpe HuskyTM 715 zur Flüssigkeitsförderung wurde 1988 auf den Markt gebracht.

Im Jahr 1994 wurde der neue europäische Hauptsitz in Maasmechelen (Belgien) eröffnet. Die 90er Jahre waren eine Zeit mit beispiellosem Wirtschaftswachstum, in der das Unternehmen einen Umsatz von 450,5 Mio. US-Dollar erzielte. Und das trotz des Wirtschaftsabschwungs der vorhergehenden Jahre.

Graco erzielte im Jahr 1971 einen Umsatz von 50 Mio. US-Dollar und verdoppelte diesen bis zum Ende des Jahrzehnts auf 100 Mio. US-Dollar. Dieses Wachstum erzielte das Unternehmen durch die Festigung seiner Position auf bestehenden Märkten und durch die Erschließung neuer Märkte.

Graco begann das neue Jahrhundert mit vielen Innovationen. Im Jahr 2002 wurde das erste Dosiergerät für Zweikomponenten-Schaumstoffe und Polyurea auf den Markt gebracht. Im Jahr 2002 erschloss Graco einen neuen Markt durch die Einführung des Magnum-Produktsortiments für den Heimwerkermarkt.

Die erste elektrische Fettpumpe G3 wurde im Jahr 2010 vermarktet, gefolgt vom weltweit ersten Airless-Handspritzgerät EasyMax. Im Jahr 2013 kam das erste tanklose Heißschmelz-Zuführsystem, Invisipac, auf den Markt. Graco erreichte 2013 bei seinem Umsatz den Schwellwert von 1 Mrd. US-Dollar.

Faserverbundkunststoff (FVK) ist ein zusammengesetztes Material aus einer mit Fasern verstärkten Polymer-Matrix.

Gracos Composite Geräte spritzen eine dünne Schicht der Gel-Beschichtung, welche die eigentliche Deckbeschichtung des Verbundwerkstoffs enthält, in eine Gussform. Die nächste Schicht ist eine dickere Schicht aus Glasfasern, um den Verbundwerkstoff zu stärken. Mithilfe eines Laminierverfahrens wird die Luft entzogen. Nach dem Trocknen wird der Verbundwerkstoff aus der Gussform entnommen und verfügt über die gewünschte Form!

Eine weitere zur Fertigung von Verbundwerkstoffen verwendete Technologie nennt sich Pultrusion. Der Begriff Pultrusion verbindet die Wörter „pull“ (ziehen) und „extrusion“ (Verdrängung) miteinander. Extrusion ist das Verdrängen von Material durch eine Gussform. Pultrusion ist ein Prozess, bei dem Rohverbundstoffe wie Glasfasern und Harz durch eine erhitzte Gussform „gezogen“ (engl. „pull“) werden. So wird ein zusammenhängendes Verbundwerkstoffprofil erzeugt.

Der Pultrusionsprozess beginnt mit Glasfaserrollen. Diese Rohfasern werden durch ein Harzbad geschleust. Die Fasern werden in der Harzmixtur gründlich durchtränkt. Der ungehärtete Verbundwerkstoff wird nun durch eine Reihe von Werkzeugvorrichtungen geführt. Diese speziellen Werkzeuge sorgen dafür, dass die Fasern die richtige Form erhalten und überschüssiges Harz herausgepresst wird. Im letzten Schritt wird der Verbundwerkstoff durch eine erhitzte Stahlgussform geführt. Das Profil, das aus der Form kommt, ist ein gehärteter pultrudierter faserverstärkter Polymerverbundstoff.

Ein Airless-Spritzgerät vereinfacht den Anstrich auf zweifache Weise: Zum einen können Farben viel schneller als mit einer Farbrolle oder einem Pinsel aufgetragen werden! Zum anderen kann mit einem Airless-Spritzgerät eine bessere Oberfläche erreicht werden, falls Sie z. B. beim Lackieren Ihrer Türen ein gleichmäßiges Finish erzielen möchten. Bei einem Airless-Spritzgerät wird Farbe mit hohem Druck durch einen Schlauch bis zur Pistole und Düse gepumpt. Die Düse wurde so konzipiert, dass die Farbe gleichmäßig zerstäubt wird. Unter Verwendung verschiedener Düsen können dünne Flüssigkeiten, wie etwa Beizen, Lacke oder Glasuren, oder dickflüssigere Flüssigkeiten, wie etwa Latexhausfarbe gespritzt werden. Ein Airless-Spritzgerät kann zum Auftragen einer perfekt gleichmäßigen Beschichtung auf Türen, Schränken und anderen Möbelteilen eingesetzt werden. Und da ein Airless-Spritzgerät Farbe direkt aus einer Dose oder einem Eimer pumpt, kann eine große Menge an Material in nur kurzer Zeit auftragen werden. Ein Airless-Spritzgerät eignet sich daher besonders für große Anstriche, wie etwa die Grundierung von kahlen Trockenbauwänden in einem neuen Haus oder zum Anstreichen eines langen Zauns.

Graco unterstützt die indigene Shipibo-Gemeinschaft von Junin Pablo, einem Dorf im peruanischen Amazonasgebiet, finanziell. Ihr gesamtes Leben dreht sich um den Regenwald, da er ihnen alles lebensnotwendige zur Verfügung stellt: Landwirtschaft, Fischerei und Forstwirtschaft.Die Shipibo fällen Bäumen in den Wäldern, um ihre eigenen Häuser und Boote zu bauen, aber auch um diese zu verkaufen. Die Produkte von Graco sind nicht mit dem FSC-Label gekennzeichnet, unterstützen jedoch die FSC-Waldzertifizierung mit dem Zertifikats- inhaber GFA-FM/COC-001288.

Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, Gray Company modificó su producción para colaborar en la guerra y desarrolló el célebre lubricador Convoy Luber para mantener lubricados los camiones, todoterrenos, tanques y aviones de los aliados. La primera bomba de pintura, presentada en 1948, fue la Paintmaster. Con ella, ya no era necesario transferir la pintura a un tanque de presión antes de pulverizar.

La demanda de equipos de lubricación fue aumentando y, para adaptarse, la empresa amplió su gama de productos incluyendo lubricadores más grandes y especializados, además de innovar con un camión de exposición y demostración de equipos itinerante.

Gray Company Inc. fue fundada en abril de 1926 por los hermanos Russell y Leil Gray, para fabricar y comercializar un lubricador portátil accionado por aire que había inventado Russell mientras trabajaba de asistente y mecánico en un aparcamiento de Minneapolis.

En 1986, Graco puso en venta su capital social en la Bolsa de Nueva York con el símbolo comercial «GGG». La primera bomba para aplicaciones de transferencia de líquidos totalmente de plástico, HuskyTM 715, se presentó en 1988.

Se abrieron nuevas oficinas europeas en Maasmechelen (Bélgica), en 1994. Los noventa fueron una época de crecimiento económico sin igual y las ventas alcanzaron los 450,5 millones de dólares, a pesar de la recesión económica de los últimos años.

Graco obtuvo unas ventas de 50 millones de dólares en 1971 que, antes de terminar la década, se duplicaron hasta 100 millones. Este crecimiento fue el fruto de asentar su posición en los mercados existentes y entrar en otros nuevos.

Graco entró en el nuevo siglo con infinidad de novedades. En 2002, se comercializó el primer dosificador para poliurea y espumas bicomponente. Graco entró en un nuevo mercado al lanzar la gama de productos Magnum para el mercado del bricolaje en 2002.

La primera bomba eléctrica para grasa, G3, salió al mercado en 2010, seguida del primer pulverizador airless manual del mundo, EasyMax. En 2013, se introdujo el primer sistema de aplicación hot melt sin tanque, Invisipac. Graco alcanzó el umbral de 1000 millones de dólares de ventas en 2013.

El fluido más común que todos conocemos es el agua; pero para Graco, la definición de fluido va mucho más allá. Los fluidos pueden contener partículas y, en ocasiones, pueden también ser espesos y pastosos. Algunos componentes de los fluidos reaccionan de forma diferente al calor, al frío y a la presión. Algunos, antes de aplicarse, deben mezclarse con relaciones de mezcla muy precisas. En cualquier caso, todos ellos tienen que manipularse con cuidado. MovimientoSi necesita elevar fluidos en contra de la gravedad o colocar gotas en el lugar preciso, los equipos de Graco son la opción adecuada. Trabajamos con presiones de 1 a 500 bares para transportar el fluido hasta el lugar donde lo necesite. Algunos materiales no siempre son puros o están filtrados, pero nuestros equipos son capaces de trasladar partículas de hasta 63 mm de diámetro. ¿Cómo, si no, podría trasladar una salsa de tomate con carne desde contenedores de gran tamaño hasta las latas del supermercado?

Medición¿Quiere saber qué presión aplica una bomba a un líquido o cuántos litros se han bombeado en un período determinado? Gracias a las comprobaciones visibles de los medidores y a las conexiones en línea, no perderá ningún dato y recibirá informes cuando los necesite, para mejorar la eficiencia y la rentabilidad de su proceso de producción y obtener datos exactos que pueda proporcionar también a sus clientes.

MezclaUna capa de pintura impecable o una lisa capa de barniz proporcionan un acabado superfino. Graco ofrece una amplia variedad de opciones. Nuestras soluciones de dos y tres componentes combinan materiales como la espuma de aislamiento y los recubrimientos anticorrosión y de protección contra incendios, así como materiales de acabados industriales, tanto manuales como automáticos, para todo tipo de acabados en metal, madera y plástico. ControlEn entornos industriales, puede necesitar dispositivos de control de la temperatura, detectores de fugas y conexiones informáticas directas para supervisar el mantenimiento de las cadenas de producción. Si es aplicador, puede que desee controlar la presión de manera remota al pulverizar sobre un edificio de gran tamaño. Dispone de todo tipo de sistemas, desde cajas de control integrado en los equipos del lugar de trabajo hasta dispositivos de seguimiento inalámbrico en as plantas de gran tamaño, para controlar el proyecto desde cualquier sitio.

DosificaciónNo importa si aplica una dosificación de 0,02 cc a 60 dosificaciones por minuto o si bombea 90 litros en un minuto: en cualquier caso, necesita precisión. Tanto una turbina eólica como un vagón minero tienen que estar lubricados en todo momento. Los bidones de concentrado de tomate tienen que descargarse al máximo para alimentar la cadena de producción de forma eficiente. Los líquidos pueden llegar a ser muy caros y no queremos que se desperdicien.

PulverizaciónHay ocasiones en las que busca un acabado perfecto. Al pulverizar revestimientos industriales o decorativos, lo único que necesita es un caudal constante, la presión adecuada y una pistola de pulverización y una boquilla de buena calidad. Prácticamente todos los productos que se montan requieren adhesivos o sellados en algún momento del proceso. Graco ofrece tecnologías manuales y automatizadas para unir y sellar un solo componente o dos componentes destinados a una amplia variedad de productos, mercados y aplicaciones.

La unión adhesiva es el proceso de unir dos piezas con firmeza utilizando un material líquido o semilíquido para crear una unión de larga duración. En los entornos de fabricación de gran volumen, el adhesivo se suele aplicar con equipos de aplicación especializados. Los adhesivos se pueden dispensar en un cordón continuo o en puntos utilizando equipos de automatización, o se pueden aplicar manualmente con un sistema de pistola manual alimentado por manguera.

El sellado es el proceso de cerrar o fijar una pieza o un conjunto con un adhesivo estanco a los fluidos y al aire.

Una junta es un sellado que rellena un espacio entre dos objetos, generalmente para impedir que haya fugas de gas o líquido entre ambas piezas. Las juntas pueden fabricarse con materiales como fieltro o caucho, pero también pueden elaborarse con cordones de silicona o poliuretano. Las juntas líquidas son un método muy extendido y rentable de sustituir las juntas moldeadas, troqueladas y de otros tipos en automoción y otras aplicaciones.

Un recubrimiento protector es una pintura o un recubrimiento que se define por sus características protectoras en lugar de las estéticas, aunque puede combinar ambas. El uso más habitual de los recubrimientos industriales es el de la protección contra la corrosión de estructuras de acero como plataformas marinas, puentes y tuberías subterráneas. Entre otras funciones también se incluyen los recubrimientos intumescentes para la resistencia al fuego. El proceso de bombear un líquido de A a B se denomina transferencia y circulación de fluidos. Graco crea la forma que usted desee, sea cual sea

El plástico reforzado con fibras (FRP) es un material compuesto formado por una matriz de polímero reforzada con fibras.

Los equipos de materiales compuestos de Graco pulverizan en el interior de un molde una fina capa de recubrimiento de gel que contiene la capa de acabado del material compuesto. A continuación, se deposita una capa más gruesa de fibra de vidrio para reforzar el material compuesto. Con un proceso de laminado, se extrae el aire y, tras secarse, el material compuesto se retira del molde con la forma que usted desee.

Otra tecnología que se usa para fabricar materiales compuestos es la extrusión por estirado, o pultrusion en inglés (de pull y extrusion). La extrusión consiste en presionar el material para que atraviese una matriz con una forma determinada. La extrusión por estirado es el proceso de estirar materiales compuestos en bruto, como la fibra de vidrio y la resina, para que atraviesen una matriz calefactada y creen un perfil continuo de un material compuesto.

El proceso de extrusión por estirado comienza con los rollos de fibra de vidrio. Esta fibra sin procesar se guía a través de un baño de resina y las fibras se saturan en profundidad con la mezcla de resina. A continuación, el material compuesto sin curar se conduce por una serie de herramientas. Estas herramientas adaptadas ayudan a colocar y organizar la fibra de modo que adopte la forma correcta, al tiempo que exprimen hacia el exterior la resina sobrante. En la última fase, el material compuesto pasa por una matriz de acero calefactado. El perfil que sale de la matriz es un material compuesto de polímetro reforzado con fibra (FRP) extruido por estirado y curado.

Los pulverizadores airless simplifican la tarea de pintar de dos maneras: en primer lugar, si desea aplicar varios litros de pintura y ahorrar tiempo, puede hacerlo mucho más rápido que con un rodillo o una brocha; en segundo lugar, si desea dar un acabado liso a una obra de carpintería o una puerta, el pulverizador airless puede aplicar la pintura de forma impecable. El pulverizador airless funciona bombeando pintura por una manguera hasta un minúsculo orificio situado en la punta de la pistola de pulverización, a una presión muy alta. La punta está diseñada para impulsar la pintura de manera que, al salir, se pulverice en pequeñas gotas formando un abanico. Utilizando diversas puntas, puede pulverizar líquidos finos como tintes, lacas y barnices u otros más gruesos como pintura plásticas. Puede usar un pulverizador airless para aplicar un acabado totalmente liso en puertas, armarios y obras de carpintería. Y, dado que los pulverizadores airless bombean la pintura directamente desde un bote o un cubo, puede aplicar mucho material en poco tiempo. Por ello, los pulverizadores airless son especialmente adecuados para realizar trabajos de pintura de gran envergadura, como dar una capa base a la placa de yeso desnuda de una nueva casa o pintar una valla muy extensa.

Para lograr un resultado de calidad al aplicar un nuevo recubrimiento, algunas superficies requieren una limpieza con la que se eliminen la corrosión y la suciedad. Los kits de chorreado de arena y las soluciones de chorreado abrasivo con vapor de Graco ayudan a realizar estos trabajos.

El chorreado abrasivo con vapor es la operación de forzar la propulsión de un flujo de material abrasivo húmedo, como arena, vidrio triturado u otros tipos de materiales, contra una superficie a presión alta con el fin de retirar los contaminantes de la superficie. También se emplea para eliminar el óxido o los recubrimientos anteriores y facilitar la perfecta adherencia del nuevo recubrimiento a la superficie.

Mantener el frescor en verano y el calor en invierno es un reto continuo. Si aplica aislamiento de espuma, puede reducir los gastos de calefacción y refrigeración a lo largo de todo el año. Disfrute de la chimenea en invierno y utilice menos el aire acondicionado en verano; siéntase bien y ahorre dinero.

Graco fabrica equipos y pistolas de pulverización que permiten pulverizar aislamientos de espuma de poliuretano. De este modo, se crea una barrera contra el aire al aplicar un aislamiento soplado en un ático, o al sellar y aislar las vigas de borde.

El poliuretano también se puede pulverizar en moldes. Esta tecnología se usa para fabricar piezas de automóvil como el guardabarros de su coche o los paneles laterales del frigorífico.

Los recubrimientos fast-set son una tecnología extraordinaria con una variedad de usos tan amplia que solo está limitada por su imaginación. Estos materiales tienen características protectoras y son muy elásticos. Graco coopera con la comunidad indígena de los shipibo, en Junín Pablo, un pueblo de la Amazonia peruana. El bosque tropical es su vida, porque les da todo lo que necesitan para vivir: agricultura, pesca y agronomía.Los shipibo talan los árboles del bosque para construir sus casas y barcos, pero también para venderlos. Con la ayuda de Graco, ahora Junín Pablo dispone de una maquinaria y una formación adecuadas, un plan de tala anual para gestionar el bosque de manera sostenible, las instalaciones de almacenamiento necesarias y adecuadas para la madera y un comité maderero municipal que supervisa la aplicación de los planes de sostenibilidad.

Graco apoya el proyecto de certificación FSC de bosques comunales en la Amazonia peruana, administrado por Bosplus.La etiqueta de FSC garantiza la gestión apropiada para el medio ambiente, socialmente beneficiosa y económicamente viable de los bosques del mundo. Los productos de Graco no cuentan con la etiqueta FSC, pero apoyan la certificación forestal FSC con el titular de certificado GFA-FM/COC-001288.

El mecanizado es una de las principales habilidades de Graco: permite controlar por completo los componentes necesarios para realizar mediciones precisas y dispensados fiables, así como trasladar los fluidos. Como se muestra en la imagen, se emplean robots para automatizar la alimentación de las máquinas y la manipulación de piezas, para que la calidad de las piezas sea uniforme.
